There’s no doubt this is a bop and Johnny is hilarious. But ffs, these lyrics hit hard. Doing everything in your power to help someone that you love but getting pushed away because the mental struggles prevail is not for the faint of heart. Beautiful track. And I love that the slower parts are when he’s talking about wanting to bring her back down, followed by the chorus which is the same reaction each time. Then the frustration at the end with that motherfucking jam of a breakdown…

I genuinely respect how real you are about the first impressions. I’ve heard people say the opposite and it’s ridiculous. Trying to become successful in music is no different than trying to be successful in any career. You don’t show up to a corporate interview in basketball shorts and a band shirt. Same idea. Once you make it, go ahead and maybe mix things up a bit. But image is massive at the start. Even if the response isn’t necessarily a positive one, exposure helps. Kinda like a band from the 2000s called Attack Attack that everyone hated, but got inadvertently launched into the limelight 😂 You’re the man Johnny, and so was AA
