My first guess was Don Carlo, the Great Domingo as Posa and I don't recognize the bass playing King Phillip. A little search confirmed I was right, and the bass is Ildar Abdrazakov. YT bites me when I try to paste external links, so here's the text of what I found, attributed: _"Expectations were high - and for many Domingo fans, attendance at this fully staged Verdi gala in honor of Plácido Domingo was secretly overshadowed by a faint premonition that their now 81-year-old idol might be seen for the last time on a major stage on this hot August evening at the Arena in Verona._ _"This suspicion was confirmed: while Domingo had still held his own steadfastly as Amonasro in the first part of this evening, an excerpt from "Aida," he unmistakably collapsed_ [[Ed.: If this upload is of the moment in question, no, clearly he was acting, that's how good he still is. It would be so him to introduce a special element to keep the audience on its toes. The way Abdrazakov embraced him seemed to indicate he really appreciated the very rare moment in history he was a part of and with genuine affection]] _in the second part, as Rodrigo in "Don Carlo" - after the duet with King Philip II (Ildar Abdrazakov), in a duet with Queen Elisabetta (María José Siri)._ _"A loudspeaker announcement tactfully explained this as a "failure of voice" and announced Russian lyric baritone Roman Burdenko as a replacement. At the final applause, Domingo then reappeared, visibly weakened but lovingly escorted by all his colleagues._ _"Perhaps for the last time, at least in Verona, where he had first appeared in 1969 as Calaf in "Turandot" as well as Don Carlo. The "Verdi Opera Night" on August 25 was a tribute to that performance."_ --by Dr. Charles E. Ritterband (text/photos) for klassik-begeistert[.]de and klassik-begeistert[.]at I recommend all to go to the site and read the rest of the very well-written review. It is clear Ritterband is an operaphile of some time, as he is eloquent, and supplies all the right details with warmth and respect for the living legend and all his colleagues. Of course, knowing Domingo as many of his long time fans do, that he would have an off moment here or there, take a bit of rest, and then **insist on continuing on** is part of his character as a lyric theatre hidalgo of unmatched status. It is likelier than not at this time that indeed, the Great Domingo will be further trimming his stage work. He's still having so much fun, clearly. I pray to God that he live to be 101, because so few of God's children live the life He gave us to the fullest and most joyful measure possible the way Domingo has and will until the moment he is called back Home. Most of us have no clue really how lucky we are to be alive at the same time as this miraculous artist. Mil gracias por compartir, paz y salud.
