"And somehow I'm still out here seeing your faces In likely and unlikely places Somewhere playing too loud Or in what's left of the crowd at our show Hanging out when it's past time to go" The most heartbreaking stanza ever written!

♠️This one hurts..... as you continue to say, you have no regrets... Dylan has quite a story behind this one.... The song is everything you think it is, if you're not lying to yourself...

Not sure if it's a common practice, but it would be real nice if Chevy...and others, would acknowledge the song credit in their commercials. Might save people a lot of time (me included) in locating the artist. Shout-out to the Google-friendly 'Identify the Song' feature which helped me find this.

Such a perfect collaboration between two of my favorite musicians. Their sounds complement each other to a tee. And the lyrics and music fit together seamlessly in ways most songwriters only dream of pulling off. If I were picked as “the Last DJ” on Tom Petty Radio, this would be one of my five songs for sure.

Fear is like a forest The dark of the unknown Love is like a promise That you'll never be alone Touch is like a tourist You know when you are home It's not that I'm a purist It's just I'd rather be alone Books waiting to be written Love is waiting to be loved Songs here, underneath my fingers Waiting to be sung Nothing will be written And no-one ever will I love No song will I be singing If it's where I'm running off But I know that it works 'Cause I've seen that it's true If you just let it go It will come back to you It'll come back in space It'll come back in pairs It'll come back in ways It'll come back 'cause it cares Come back 'cause it cares Come back 'cause it cares Come back 'cause it cares But I know that it works 'Cause I've seen that it's true If you just let it go It will come back to you It'll come back in space It'll come back in pairs It'll come back in ways It'll come back 'cause it cares Come back 'cause it cares Come back 'cause it cares Come back 'cause it cares

Today would have been my beautiful fiancé’s birthday, Lia would have been 39 today🥺. Mine was last month, we were exactly (20) years apart, within (1) day too. She would say this to me all the time, David it is just us and them, let it go. I do not care if they love or hate us as long as we love & have each other 🥰, Lia was right ✅….. She died 09/2022, we were planning a 2024 wedding, sadly it will never come true 😥 Here is to you my love, as a smoke, a popsicle, a slice of birthday 🎂 cake, ice cream, slice of pizza 🍕 and a hit of (H), a coke and a shot of Jim Beam ! All my love dear in your wonderful honor 🥳😍. I wish I was with you there instead of being here alone without you except in spirit, which is alright for now. I hope to be with you soon my true love 💕……Yes my dear I still see/hear your ghost on highway 20, 72 and on 58…. I miss you more than words can express for me 😢

Sleeping slighting we're going down again We got to be trying We learn to deep to quick We've got to be looking Search for the way to be free again Think of the moment We used to share And think of the love with you When all of the changes get so hard to them Some I love is always there See us through Sleeping slighting we're going down again We've got to be trying We learn to deep to quick You know it's not easy Will this have to keep on remembering All of the moment we used to share And think of the love with you When all of the changes get so hard to them Some I love is always there Seeing us through We're going down again Going down Going down again We can see you

Well, tie your hands to riot Speak up to be quiet Make a list of every debt I owe Let's line the streets with curses Turn them all to torches I've never felt a loneliness this cold So send up three more wishes Count my hits and misses Bury me in a box with my mistakes 'Cause this lonely room's a prison And these fictional women They fade away the longer I'm awake Well, are you busy serving sentences To prodigals and priests Drowning in the sea of tears you're crying Well, are you worried that you're happier At war than at peace Baby, are you losing sleep tonight like I am Oh, are you losing sleep tonight like I am So you keep making up more reasons To justify such treason You can keep my poisoned ashes in your urn But goddamn these dire visions And this swimming in religion You can tell them all you stood and watched me burn Well, are you busy serving sentences To prodigals and priests Drowning in the sea of tears you're crying Well, are you worried that you're happier At war than at peace Baby, are you losing sleep tonight like I am Oh, are you losing sleep tonight like I am Well, are you busy serving sentences To prodigals and priests Drowning in the sea of tears you're crying Well, are you worried that you're happier At war than at peace Baby, are you losing sleep tonight like I am Oh, are you losing sleep tonight like I am
