I have been semi-resto-modding a '99 Cherokee Sport. It has 78k on the clock, been in my possession since 58k miles. When I have it back on wheels (hoping this summer) it will become my daily driver again and camping rig. Appreciate the info! Never heard of Heat Shields before.

i have to ask... i see u bought the gate 10 foot return lines to replace the 3/8 hose.. the gate hose is now $50 to $120 between local part store and online rockauto.. rockauto is cheaper.. but the question to that is what is wrong with using the wj grand cherokee return line.. they are actually $30 and its cut to fit.. they also look like they are the same size as the gate 10 foot return hose. this is wj grand cherokee 4.7 v8 return line Part # 13404024.. let me know. thanks.

I think when I did it I was worried about using a pre bent hose would kink up. I went with the regular hose because I wasn't sure about routing it and wanted to avoid that. If I was doing it now and the hose was that expensive I'd definitely try the oem cheaper hose and see what happens. Worst case it doesn't work send it back and try again.

You should do a video redoing your garage. Adding attic storage with ceiling flat led can lights, drywall and, insulate the walls. Epoxy the garage floors. And for the garage door windows apply a tint. (Adds privacy, cools the garage) Shutter the windows, add shelving etc. it will bring more viewers to the channel, look good on your house and, make more useable space. Maybe even add a mini split ac unit.

I went the other way around and ditched the synthetic rope. I use my winch a lot every year for removing logs and trees and running through snatch blocks, the synthetic harbor fright rope will Frey and break in no time, mine didn’t last a year before breaking, I swapped out for a steal cable and all is good!

I see your heat shield wrap on the fuel rail. Was thinking of doing something similar for mine as I was getting heat soak after I shut the engine off after a long climb in the mountains. Had to wait 20 minutes for thing to cool before she fired up and ran normal again.

With my Jackery Explorer 500 in order to extend the battery, I purchased a 100ah 12.8v 1280Wh LifeP04 battery that has a cycle life of 4000 for $329.00. I added a socket adapter that I plug the Jackery car charger adapter in to keep the Jackery 500 topped off with. I use a 200w portable solar panel and a Mppt charge controller for charging the battery and much cheaper than buying the Jackery 1000 with only a 4th of charge cycles…

For anyone wondering about the airbag. The new airbag has a dual charge. A primary and a secondary. This is because newer collision detection systems have the ability to detect the severity of an impact and fire the higher or lower airbag charge. You can connect the airbag but it will take some research to decide which charge you prefer to have operational and how you want to go about connecting the wiring. Just do your research and be careful
