I really appreciate you showing with the needle the correct stitch!! Crocheters often speed through it and show it with the chonky hook and the piece flops all around. Love the attention to detail!

Hi Vicki. I just wanted to tell you how enormously helpful this video has been to me. I was watching to learn how to do the leaf. What ended up happening is now every time I have to change my type of stitch, I come back here. A few reasons why you are awesome: 1) you have working hands, and you did not try to sell me a "nail kit" in your video; 2) you go really nice and slow, and you use a yarn and hook that make following easy; 3) you have a very pleasant voice. Please please please don't stop making videos. I don't care about other peoples' videos anymore. I just want to see how YOU make a thing. I shared a bad experience with a bought pattern, and a couple of other KZbin videos, on a separate social media site. It appears that a lot of people who crochet consider themselves proficient enough to share their knowledge. I really don't care if I get downvoted on KZbin, because I am over having to BUY rubbish patterns and rubbish instructions. You have a gift. Please keep sharing. Thank you so much for making it easy, calm and friendly.

It would have been better if you had numbered the stitches rather than always say Next Stitch, next stitch.... when I had to go back it was confusing to try and find the exact stitch i wanted, otherwise good job

It's safe to say I'm terrible at this but I sure enjoy trying and my leaves are starting to look less lumpy and more leafy each time I make one with your video for guidance.

I never thought I could make something so pretty, every channel I go to I can never understand how to do it properly, I don't know if it's your lovely voice, your tone, of the way you show how it is done but there is something so calming about watching your videos and everything just seems much easier, thank you so much for your help🩷🩷

I am a beginner and wondering if my crochet hook is too big? Or am I holding the yarn too tight? I can't get the hook to pull through all three loops as smoothly as you do. It's a struggle. Lol
@HannahEliz21 күн бұрын
Could be the type of yarn or you could be using too much tension/holding it too tight

What yarn are using? You just mention "using this one." They look super cute. I like using the recommended yarn so I know how to adapt for when trying other yarns.

Made 2 pairs of these- one for me, one for my mom. I have a couple mysterious things happen in mine despite the right stitch count, but it doesn't affect the overall look and usability, so I've let it slide. They look nice, easy to make, comfortable, exactly what I've been looking for for my purposes:)

Hello, kinda like other posts, I have 136 hexies I want to join using this method. I'm new at this, too. Can you show where in the blanket you are starting? Is it in the bottom corner and moving in a serpentine pattern or in the center and spiraling out? I've looked at the posts you’ve linked to the other commenters, and I might just be too much of a nube to parse it out. If it is serpentine, is it across the short way or the long way? Thanks!!! I wish i could send you my photos!

Hi, Right, so you work in rows (or columns). Have a look at this post - www.offthehookforyou.co.uk/the-hexirainbow-blanket/ near to the bottom ont his, there is a diagram showing the colours I used. I started to join at the bottom left - 1 - completed to Row 6, then came back down attaching the next row from the top down (The numbers make sense - being joined sequential until the middle!). There is a photo with 3 rows in it that might help....... maybe I need a new video on this 🙂
