Just a heads up, a couple of your gear recommendations need updating. The Manfrotto 290 is currently unavailable as is the Benro. K&F Concept and NEEWER both have great alternatives to the Benro. Just an fyi.

09:27 - This is a perfect example of why I believe flash is so superior and nearly as fast. The flooring looks like different colors in the bathroom vs rest of house. Also, the typical issue with the mullions looking dirty on the windows, but not as important. Curious to see how you’d shoot plantation shudders with this method.

I wondered, why you should compensate by -1,7 EV. Tried this method by myself (Luminar Neo HDR Merge) and proofed you absolutely right. The results at -1,7EV were much more (naturally) saturated, than with +/-0EV, what I would have expected to be the standard. But at +/-0EV the result ist very washed out. So thanks a lot for this great input! I would never have tried this by myself and would have missed this great workflow.

The handle on the toilet room would be in focus if you haven't used 5m MF at 17mm F11, but 2m MF at 17mm F11, since DOF works 1/3 infront; 2/3 behind, as you might know. 5m for medium sized rooms Id say a bit far, but other than that, nice tuto, straight to the point. VOLUME VOLUME VOLUME.

I worked in a trial law firm in technology for over 30 years and I was recently let go and did not want to go back so I started a photography company and your video really inspired me to get into this I could not understand why you take bracketed photographs and then I researched and purchased Photomatix and Aurora HDR and now I understand. I ran a test with it today using your settings on my living room and the results were spectacular . I also have a drone one of the best better ones from DJI and I am going to get my commercial drone license so that I can take exterior Drone footage commercially sure hope the test is not that hard. Would love the opportunity to chat with you at some point

What do you mean photography isn't art,?... What do you think art is? What if I told you you're an artist...
@aushbegosh3032Ай бұрын
Usually the phrase is photography isn't a science. Which is to say you don't need exact measurements. It's an art form you can do whatever you want with it
@aushbegosh3032Ай бұрын
But you're turning that phrase on its head to say that art is somehow an exact process.. and what you're doing is in not that because you do what you feel like and not the imperial standard.. defiance of elitism which is such an artsy thing to say.

Hi Elijah, thanks for taking the time to put this together, it was very informative! Quick question, how would you handle a home with dark wooden ceiling, would you still use the 5 shot/2 stops apart rule or would you use a strobe? Also how are you getting your window pulls so balanced, they look great! Thanks in advance!

I've been having on pixels without issue. It plays some games at higher fps than the s24. Benchmarks didn't tell the story. It's about the developers optimizing better for tensor. I got the 9xl pro on the way. I got 700 for my 8pro, plus 200 dollar store credit. Hard not to turn down. No disappointment, just you
@scottwallace13 ай бұрын
So I’m not asking the following question like I know already and am wanting you to explain why you do it wrong, but 😉 with the camera on a tripod and with bracketing, why not go lowest ISO possible? I’m CERTAIN you have a good reason and want to know what that is. Thank you!!! 🙏
@butch55112 ай бұрын
My guess would be time. At iso 100, each image will take more time. Since he's doing 5 brackets that could become a considerable amount of time added to the shoot.
@scottwallace12 ай бұрын
@@butch5511 yeah, the extra time is a given with a lower ISO. But isn’t the whole reason to do bracketed shots on a tripod to get the cleanest shot possible? Why add noise with a setting like higher ISO? Not being combative and you’re totally correct in your line of thought. But it’d be interesting to get the photographer’s take. Peace ✌️
@butch55112 ай бұрын
Not really. The purpose of bracketing is to get a higher dynamic range. It's so that the shadows have detail without blowing out the windows. By bracketing one shot is used for the darker areas, one for the midtones, and one for the highlights. This way, there is detail throughout the image. In most cases, if you took a single shot you'd have to choose between the highlights and the shadows.

I have a 24-105 mm which is only really good for landscape,vehicles, and most of the time for portraits of people but I found that even at 24mm it’s not good for indoor shots. I have an 11-24mm and it works like a dream at around 15-18 for perfect indoor shots

Professional architecture shooter tip: I use the TS-E Lenses for Canon to compose super interesting shots that include a greater view height, without needing to pan the camera (you should never do that except for details) so everything still lines up perfectly. Not sure if Sony has got those lenses too, but it's definitely a game changer for premium photography.
