Looking forward to seeing all that you do with the cliff. I am not good at making parkour courses, but I have always thought it would be cool to make a parkour jumping course up the side of a cliff.

The blacksmith build is nice! I like the little porch and the small wrap around on the right side. You don't see that often on blacksmiths. The roof as well is out of the ordinary with the uneven shape and height variation. It all comes together very well and you did a great job with it. Oh and I think the addition of the hanging signs on the inside was a nice design decision. It doesn't fill up as much space as a full block and as a result doesn't feel as cramped. The cliff outline is coming along well enough. I think if you stick to that then it'll turn out good. Will you be adding a cave or anything of the sort under the cliff? Maybe having an entrance to a shrine or something off to the side hidden in the cliff? It would be a shame to not utilize that empty space that'll be left when you add in the top of the cliff. Although you've already done one underground area with last episode's build. Do you know yet what you'll be doing on the top of the cliff? You could put a giant statue on there or maybe a custom built tree. The top of the cliff face could serve as a nice lookout to survey the surrounding area. All in all this was another great watch.

Glad you enjoyed it! I think adding a cave is definitely in the cards. I agree a shrine could work nicely in there. I have a couple of different ideas as well :). I'm not quite sure about the top of the cliff yet, but I will definitely have to add some vegetation there. I am considering adding an old watchtower along the ridge, as it seems like a prime lookout spot, as you say.

The pumpkin and melon field turned out really good. That's actually what I was envisioning minus the green pops of color when I recommended it. Great to see you added it in so thanks for that! I really like the build for the underground storage. The sandstone and mud brick mixes well. The use of the semi aged copper trapdoor blends in super well and provides a nice texture you otherwise wouldn't be able to get. Another bit of that build that's cool is the fence posts used near the ceiling at 20:28. It sort of looks like dripstone which leans into the underground part. Makes it feel more like a cave people dug out and used which I think is a neat idea. I think people in ancient times used caves as a makeshift freezer since the stone would remain cool. Not sure if that was intentional or not but regardless I thought it was nice. Oh and I can't forget the arches you built in that storage room. A lot of really good building this episode! If you ever build some statues around the greek themed area outside I think incorporating some colors would look good. Historically the greeks used color on their statues which made them pop out more. I think the fast paced timelapse was a good addition. I think for shorter timelapses the slower pace fits and maybe keep it at this speed for longer timelapses.

Thank you so much for your kind words! The cave part wasn’t intentional, but I did consider the cooling aspect. I completely agree that adding some statues would enhance the design, although I’ll need to practice since it’s not something I’m very familiar with. Incorporating splashes of color on the statues would definitely add historical accuracy, and perhaps building a cave to house a few aswell could explain why they haven’t faded like the temple.

Love the mud bricks and slightly oxidized copper! Definitely noticed they have a similar color myself. Are you thinking of usinf signs or item frames to keep the storage area organized? Love the giant pumpkin idea! You could always use small pots, string, stones (stone buttons) or a piece of a fence next to a watermelon/pumpkin plant to keep it from creating a melon. You just need to fill the spaces around it with something other than grass or ferns.
@DigbyMC

I'm thinking signs most likely, but I'll experiment with both for sure! I actually forgot to show it, but the giant pumpkin did manage to grow eventually :)

I know I'm two months late on this but I think a pumpkin or melon field where they're dotted around could be nice. The pumpkins could have either sea pickles or green candles on top for the stem.

The windmill is a great build. I myself struggle with building things that aren't pre planned so I'm amazed by your ability to just go out there and build it. That adaptability and ingenuity is a good trait for a builder to have. The stairs are a nice creative touch. Most would go with actual stair blocks but having regular blocks that you need to jump up to use is something you don't see often enough in Minecraft. Pair that with the door that's slightly backed into the build and it comes together perfectly. Even the interior is good! You really are a good builder.

You took my suggestion! Love the cauldon cook pot. Very nice! Ruins look good, maybe just need some berry bushes for a pop of color or leaf bushes around the base. Alternaticely, you could use rooted diet and coarse dirt to show the exporer has been walking around the arch a bunch. Great build!

Always love some ruins. Maybe add a small campsite below the snake stairs like an explorer has camped there while investigating the ruins? Could be cool to leave a small journal with a few entries and a table with some pottery sherds or diorite wall the explorer is researching. Fun episode! Have you thought about adding some music in the background?

Some campfires under the lava would make it steamy and smoky. Magma around the edges would be good to transition from lava to the concrete. And maybe come up with a lore reason why a pool of uncooling lava is chilling. Did a magical meteor of heat fall there and keeps the lava hot? Is there a spell cast on that spot that protects it from getting cold? Or does a lava salamander live there and once every few days exits it's lava burrow for fresh air before burrowing back down to the magma layers? Lots of options!
@DigbyMC
@DigbyMC 2 ай бұрын
Love the campfire idea! Burrowing them a couple of blocks under the lava would give a good amount of smoke/steam, as you say. I agree with finding a good lore reason as well, it adds a lot to the world!
