Where does it say to wait to turn on the APU bleed air for the cooling turbine air?
@mach1james6 ай бұрын
It doesn’t say it anywhere. But it’s the general consensus that you wait to give the APU turbine a chance to stabilize in temperature before loading it up.

Thanks for the helpful tip. I’ll go back to North Carolina and find the aircraft and remake this video that I made about 3 years ago just for you because apparently you don’t have a checklist that tells you these things. I’m so sorry that you had to waste 55 seconds of your life watching me explain the cockpit setup flow. Perhaps doing something else other than watching KZbin would be a more constructive use of your time.

@@mach1james - No,we are considering buying a Hawker, and I was hoping for a bit of insight before we do so and before I go to school on the aircraft. Perhaps just re-title it something more accurate: "Random factoids while I quickly complete the Hawker after start flow with little actual explanation of what is being done."

@@AndreySloan_is_a_cnut my guy, he's not an instructor and has no obligation to you personally. Sheesh. I'm not sure what you're expecting here. I understand trying to gain insight into the airplane but you won't get it on youtube. The switch labels are clearly visible in the video, you could've just paused and read what he was hitting. I'm also not sure what part of this was puzzling to you. The procedure is very straightforward. - start power off - Turn on the alternators, turn on windscreen and pitot/vane heats, check amps - Trip APU gen, open bus tie, and make sure both gens power their respective buses, check battery charge amps and close the bus tie. - Turn on TRs either way, just listen to your instructors and follow your checklist when you go to school and don't rely on a youtube video to learn how to fly the jet. if you wanna get ahead, you usually get access to training material ahead of time. open the checklist and the panel poster to chair fly and learn the positions of the systems. the PTM will do a better job at describing the systems than some random video on youtube, so give that a read. 🙄
