THANK YOU for this. You're a gifted, natural teacher! I've been knitting since 2003, and over those years, I've tried several times to learn crochet. Your explanation is the first one that's ever made sense. Going to make some bun covers for my niece now!

Do you have more tutorials somewhere? I’m a beginner and I’ve always admired your work. You are great at explaining processes in a way I can actually understand. Especially giving multiple options and great advice! I admire you greatly. You are a great mama and I’ve looked up to you for a very long time. Thank you for existing ☺️

Thank you for this easy tutorial! I had no idea these were *this* quick and simple to make. Also for anyone looking for alternative boning materials, I used 3/4” Polyproylene Hanger Strap (found in the hardware store). Unfortunately, it does tend to curl because of it being bound in a circle, but layering them (2 or 3 stripes in each boning case) in opposite directions helps with this. Good luck, all!

If you when you are trying the elastic or cording etc., I've done the knot like tying for a roast. ie wrap the cord or whatever around twice and then proceed like a square knot. This seems to hold quite well.
