Pretty fun to see a legend being born :) This is an example of a good moving horse especially evident in the slow circles and now his get often have this attribute. 13 years later he is one of the top 3 sires.

Stacy Westfall did it bareback, and her horse cantered. Not that ridiculous 2 beat center! The industry has ruined quarter horses.

I mean really how hard is this the horse is a far superior athlete than the cow it has longer legs it is physically stronger and faster why in the world would you get so excited about the unfair odds against the cow

I agree I don't think they should make them carry their head as low as they are and it's just unnatural for the horse
@carywing5245 ай бұрын
Interesting I somewhat felt the same way. But quarter horses are bred to keep low. Chasing cattle

Clearly this horse and rider has a lot more skill than my horse and I. I love this, but I would change two things: I suspect those spurs are a little agro... If they are pointed at all, I would change that. Second, he is using a neck rope, but they tried to make it invisible. I think because this is about demonstrating skill, the tack should be obvious (nothing hidden). The outfit is silly, but that is a normal part of pretty much any riding discipline. 😹
@whisperingpinesfarm96583 ай бұрын
Ever heard of a spur stop? Idiots!
@wyatt.the.horsey3 ай бұрын
the outfit is because it’s a free style and i’m reining they always have funny costumes and themed music. the neck rope is meant to look invisible so it goes well with the outfit. it’s very obvious that he has one. also those spurs are used lighter then u think. the hardest he had use them is backing up and it is sooooo difficult to teach a horse how to back up with no rein
@Shay11753 ай бұрын
I saw the neck rope too and wondered if he was trying to fool people or what. It's practically invisible, but when he's using it such as the run while his arm is straight out, the chest strap raises up.

Well the horse was great, but I don't think competing dressed like this was very professional, to each his own
