Die Stadt Espelkamp hat eine interessante Geschichte im Wiederaufbau Deutschlands nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg. Interessant ist auch, Horst Tappert, den späteren Star von Derrick, in einer seiner frühen Rollen zu sehen. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horst_Tappert

Wusste gar nicht das der "Derrick-Star" Horst Tappert für einen Espelkamp-Film mitwirkte. Espelkamp hat nach den Flüchtlingen aus den Deutschen Ostgebieten in den 1990ern viele Russland-Deutsche und heute viele weitere Flüchtlinge aufgenommen. Die Stadt ist heute eine recht wohlhabene Stadt. Natürlich gibt es keine "Altstadt", die Innenstadt ist trotzdem ist sie ganz nett.

Ich fand es interessant, Horst Tappert in diesem Film aus den 50er Jahren zu sehen - 1954, glaube ich - etwa 30 Jahre vor seinen Derrick-Auftritten. Ich schätze, dass Espelkamp jetzt ein Zuhause für ukrainische Flüchtlinge wäre. Wir haben sogar welche in Australien, wo ich lebe. Thanks Chronic, I thought it was an interesting film & piece of history that I found on a now defunct website when researching the history of Espelkamp. In the 80's here in Australia, we used to watch the main character, Horst Tappert on SBS TV in Inspector Derrick - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derrick_(TV_series)
