Yeah, it’s an addiction. I was on a controller for years, the got a Playseat and G27 circa GT 3 A Spec. Then a Thrustmaster T300 with TP3A pedals. Drove that for years and years. This year, decided to get a real rig and single screen and put the T300 on it. Still play GT7 but be more comfortable with seat and pedal sliders, and build up to triple screens and PC in later years. That didn’t last long at all. Have a PC with a 4080 Super, triple 32” curved Samsung G6’s, a full Fanatec DD+, Clubsport GT3 R wheel with the Xbox unit on the back so I can play PS4/5, PC and Xbox X/S games, and inverted V3 pedals with Simagic haptics and a Butt Kicker Pro under the seat (seat is a Ford Focus RS seat). But then I got the PSVR2 on sale, and it didn’t like the screens and would ‘get lost’, so I moved back to the Playseat when playing on the PS5. BUT THEN (addiction), found the T- LCM pedals on FB marketplace and got those, even more fun. But still squished is a kid sized seat, so when Microcenter put the Tony Kanaan SimLab P1- X Pro on sale for Black Friday, I picked it up to match my P1-X Pro I have for my Main rig, and got another Focus seat for it. Now I’m happy, right? Well no. The T300 now feels ok, not as good as the DD+. So my next step is to take bonus money in Feb and buy a Simagic Alpha U base, F1 and GT-Pro wheel, DS-8X shifter and P1000 inverted pedals, put them on the triple screen rig, and move the Fanatec to the PS5 rig. Then I might be done. (This is what we tell our wives to keep them from holding a pillow over our faces while we sleep. 😂). Addictive? Yes. Worth it? Yes. I wouldn’t change a thing. If I win a small lottery I’ll build a separate rig for trucks as ATS and ETS are so much fun to play too. And I wouldn’t hate a flight sim. But that’s low priority as I’m so busy with what I have that to branch into aircraft/fighter/helicopter sims would dilute my time too much.

Great guide. I noticed a couple of times the gears we see when explaining a turn was not matching the actual gear used at full speed.

Man I can do 1.59 with some practice but going below that seems to me impossible. Some folks do 1.56, that's insane. One thing I learned is that a good setup must allow you to rotate at high speeds to do the first couple of corners efficiently. There are some setups on YT which oversteer a lot, don't use them. And it seems that's the first track where I will change TC during the race....

What are your opinions about the moza r3 and r5 bundles? They go for 300 to 500 euro, i've heard good about them. You didnt include them in the video which is no problem, but i am wondering how you think they stack up against the fanatac, since i know they outdo thrustmaster and logitech in terms of quality
