One thing I do is have a solar "generator" (battery) and know where there are outlets that may be active where i could recharge it and have power (for communications, starlink whatever.) e.g. sometimes they keep areas with a hospital up and there are outlets in parking lots. Having some solar panels is another plus, but that might not be an option for city people. Another thing we should all do if there are unnecessary lockdowns is what they did in paris, picnic outside restaurants that are demanding mask or other idiotic compliance exercises.

Credit cards operate off a couple servers. You need to have a contingency for if your credit card or debit card just doesn't work at all. Used to pull hours in a convenience store for extra cash. It is not that uncommon for debit card system to just completely shut down. Especially if there's something nefarious going on so you better have a contingency for that.

Use: put handkerchief in your palm (for comfort) then, place pen in place between middle and ring fingers. Point outwards! This will be long enough to reach lungs and hart between ribs. Hold tight, so it will pull out, for continued use, and allow bleeding. But, never forget the neck throat, ears temples, or whatever is available! Just an idea
