Here is some information to help you since your computer will be getting older. Whether you can or cannot install more RAM (4GB would be nice), consider installing _(since a 32bit PAE should be fine)_ Slackware _(and XFCE desktop would be reasonable)_ and do a full install, because that HDD you have is probably fine as a Toshiba model and might even have 8MB cache on it so the swap space can be maintained as the SMART checks sectors and also so that _(using UltimateBootCD538 which also can take a system image in 2GB chunks as gzip in an external HDD or decent USB pendrive of say 28Gb i.e. 32GB FAT32, in the software Ghost4LinuxG4L)_ also health of the HDD and RAM can be glanced at now and then. Then, be sure to use "Slackbuilds" for easy software install with decent dependency tree management all done for you for the standard software immediately after install to resolve them. In slackbuilds _(repository for 15)_ nix can be useful. When you install Slackware15, you can use the CD or DVD and be plugged in for internet via RJ45 ethernet cable _(presumably with DHCP),_ rather than needing to boot from USB-pendrive although that can be done too. An external USB DVD drive is another way to boot. Having taken your system image, then consider also using slack-package _(i.e. slackpkg instead of slaptget or swaret)_ for more software to install and a system image can again be taken after that in the multiple 2GB chunks method. Those 2GB chunks as the system-image can be written as copies to, for instance, 4GB DVDRW disks later _(two of 2GB chunk gzip files fitting on its DVDRW)_ in say brasero, k3b, growisofs, dvd+rw-tools package maybe with front-end x-cd-roast for cdrtools is split futher via 7Zip or whatever DVD-Writer software you opt for. Do remember that, if you feel the desire to open the command-line, the (directory etc) fstab for USB drives _(NAND storage pendrive mass-storage-device)_ can be used for those mounted, but also IDE, SCSI. Sound in ALSA can be tweaked. CUPS for printers, SANE or xsane for scanners. If you want, in the 'etc' directory, and then in the rc.d the rc. modules file can have manual edits by yourself for things like network devices. Slackware defaults to use LILO. You might find that a TTL serial to USB _(in scenarios with lack of COM or UART on the laptop)_ can help you get out of some catch22 areas. Being able to remote in can be nifty. Next time I record emulation I'm gonna use smooth follow so it's not all over the place causing nausea or something. The performance is worse on the glasses than on the built in screen so showing the screen would be misleading. The recording also takes a slight performance hit but nothing too crazy.

Just a heads up the icade bluetooth will work with modern android tablets/phones and PC, it just takes good timing. The code needs to be entered quickly (in rhythm) like doing a perfect combo move. Took me about 10 tries the first time but I've got 3 icades (including a core and mini) that work with my FireHD 10, FireHD Max, Samsung tab s9, moto G and Lenovo flexpad. They run retroarch perfect, but the oem buttons were trash.

I'm running the Lenovo Boost Station with a 4070 ti super. Been rough with the Legion Space update and getting the Warzone settings right but the FSR 3 with FG has been great so far. Just Nvidia driver issues and DirectX crashes without balanced 4K settings. I appreciate the content!!
