I wish I had more time to dedicate to this channel, in which case I most certainly would. The PMQ is quite tricky, and the 7th Edition Study Guide contradicts itself in several places.

@@capriciouslearning thank you, what's your advice on best strategies to get an entry level role such as pmo analyst ?
@capriciouslearning
@capriciouslearning 3 ай бұрын
@@ManchesterStyle Ooof. That's a hard one, as it very much depends on your experience outside projects, and the industry you may be interested in. I'm going to assume you're looking to change career into a project role, and that you're in the UK. Absolutely look at a Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship. You're an excellent candidate with the PFQ already, and if you can handle a poor salary (probably), it will get you into work gathering that important experience, and it'll take you to the PMQ level. If that's not an option, then focus applications on the softer-skills you have - managing a team, accuracy of data, communications. If you have the opportunity to show off your new-found PM skills, work a project through using all the tools so you have a "portfolio" you can hand over and say "this is my work". It might just be a DIY project or something (built a new garden shed), but it demonstrates you can actually DO the stuff.

I would gladly pay for this content , excellent teaching - I want to teach the history of ancient Egypt - the unknown history, that's my project , can you please tell me what software you used to record this, the presentations and audio is just marvellous, I'll be very grateful for the information

Hi. Thank you for the nice comments. I really skip on the recording software side, as I don't think it necessarily helps. I use the NVIDIA GeForce screen capture software - comes as part of the graphics driver software for NVIDIA graphics cards. My editing requirements are very low - I've been teaching and doing this stuff for many years, so often it's a 1-take recording. Hence I just use the free Clipchamp from Microsoft for most of my videos. I did however get a decent microphone, and use a Blue Yeti - a very reliable mid-range mic that's perfect for this sort of work.

I am delighted to inform you that you have met the required standard to pass the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification .You achieved a score of 48 which is 80%". I'm very cautious about running courses for the PMQ, as it's such a weird and difficult exam. Poor exam performance is just a fact of PMQ. Even though these videos are aimed at the PFQ, note my repeated caveats that you can't use them alone! Having said that, with the (yet another) new version out, I will need to re-do this PFQ course, and a following PMQ one. Oh, and thank you for the kind comments and support :)

@@capriciouslearning Thanks for replying here and you are very welcome. I agree it's a very big responsibility. The format for PMQ is different, have heard it's tough, but nothing is impossible if practiced with a technique. For PMQ I will only go with a a course which is recommended because I have learnt my lesson now after losing straight 2k lol

Hi. There is a practice paper available on the APM website - it's hidden away a bit, but you'll find it. I don't provide exam-sim services, as this video series isn't designed to replace formal study, but rather to provide some context to help get you going. The APM Study Guide is pretty good, and actually worth the purchase if you're seriously considering the exam. And no, I'm not sponsored by APM or anything ;)

if you paid £5000 for 10 pc's that means 15 would cost you £7500 not £5250. if 5000/10 = 500 each, an additional 5 would not be £250 total?
