Hi Richard, Sorry to hear about the engine. First pull the dipstick and check the oil. Clear oil (light or dark) is good. Cloudy oil (milkshake or milky) is bad -- water in the oil and engine. Next, take off the tranny cover (4 x 1/2" bolts) and look at the machinery. If it's clean or oily - fine. If it's rusty or dirty or milky, not good. That's the same oil as the engine has. Then pull the sparkplugs and check for rust. Black or gray carbon is fine. You can me call direct at 949-933-9613 if you still have questions. Or email to [email protected]

Hello I’m working on my 79 atomic 4 gas engine! Recently bought . The guy at the marina said it was running last year ! Then the boat just sits for a year. And now the crank won’t even turn or move? Any suggestions thanks !
