Hey Lucas... Sounds like you know a lot more about vehicle electrical stuff than myself. Do you think this might be the same issue im having with my 1992 dodge b250 van? My headlights don't work but highbeams do work. Also my front right turn signal recently stopped working. Any advice would be appreciated.

@@freedomallegiance4573 I would assume, on the trucks many different systems are ran through the headlight switch witch causes them to burn out quickly. As with the highbeams it is possible that both of the low beams are burnt out, as they are separate filaments (high and low); but the combination with the turn signal I would believe that it is logical that it’s the switch.

@@W250STUFF thx for your quick response. So it maybe possible I just need to replace the bulbs? But it also could be the switch? I'm looking online now to see if I can find a service manual for my year, make, and model. I've just been using my high beams when it's dark, and with how bright the new car highlights are, people rarely seem to notice I've got my high beams on, but this is obviously not a permanent solution. I'm grateful for your video, there doesn't seem to be too many videos out there addressing repairs on these years of vehicles.

@@freedomallegiance4573 I would start with the switch, if that does not fix the lights and signal then do bulbs. But first if you can I would test your blinker by swapping the bulbs to see if it is a bulb issue or a power issue and if you have a test light/multimeter see if you have power to your headlight pigtail. Sorry for the delayed response.

Oil it up a bit and I bet it goes away and also maybe throw the cover on it and it’s gonna quiet it down they are supposed to be noisy I’ll post a video tomorrow of mine with the cap off so you can hear. Perfectly normal

@@W250STUFF I’m not too familiar with car engines, I mainly work on dirtbikes quads and street bikes. If you rewatch your video yo can see the gear bouncing around ( the one on top ) looks like maybe the inner race of the gear is worn or a bearing went bad.

So the plastic sleeve is a guide. How do you remove the sleeve after its installed?

I wish you would have pulled your moisture barrier off so we could see your procedure fully. Other then that you did a good job.
