From what I have heard before, presonus's max SPL is an average of the top db value from a RANGE of frequencies. (E.g. 500hz - 20khz) But other brand's SPL is a peak value of the highest db frequency. (E.g. higest db is from 1khz), the claimed peak SPL value is from 1khz. This is why Presonus speakers max SPL is kinda low on paper.

Las Evs ocupan estar en 2db plus o mas. Aún las presonus si Dan buen volumen y no destorcionan en alto volumen que laa Evs despues de 4 horas se bajan Solas como proteccion. Yo las use y las presonus nunca hacen limite. Hasta las e usado con grupos y suenan bien sin clipiar.

Improper use of that ev speaker. Speakers have a limit to how loud they can go without distorting.

The jbl has a line and mic input switch and the air15 does not have the zero volume of air15 is at the line level and beyond that is mic level.... If I'm not mistaken... If you set line for jbl try not to go beyond 0 on the volume of air15 so that it's the same line level then compare....
