You all probably didn't help the mother out too much and stripped her of her rights for her kids when she could have done better but you all did not work with her. Happens all the time.

I was diagnosed when I was 5, I am 15 now it took the doctors 1-2 months to diagnose. I would say living with this disease Is harder than it looks specially in a country like India where almost everything is made Up of wheat and I feel like people need to be educated about this problem and every restaurant and grocery stores should have gluten Free stuff even in school canteens.

@@shailjachaudhary-ez1qh in my case I was a little lucky that my mom did a lot of research on it and now she makes literally everything that has gluten, gluten Free at home like bread, cake, cookies even all kinds of Indian food doctors in my city refers the patients to my mom and she guides them free of coast so I never got to experience that feeling of not being able to enjoy things I like, but yes sometimes when I am out with my friends and they all are buying something to eat and I ask them to get something which is gluten-free they just seem to not understand and that's why I say that people needs to be educated about it because my friends don't even know what gluten is, and I'd suggest that stop wasting money on treatment because it totally depends on your body if you could ever eat gluten again many patients gets cured with time but most of the people don't it also depends on the severity, your sister might not have it on a major level, so it just depends body to body And at the end of the day I feel like I have learnt to live with it and maybe you should also accept it and celiac community stands strong so just try to make it your strength☺

It has been 15 years. At 32 years old, I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance. The decease started 6 years before that. I went to more than 10 GI specialists. I even had a camera pill put into my gut and let it moved through inside of me capturing photos from end to end. I was put on Prevacid for reflux for 6 years. I had Barret Esophagus. But after so many visits to the GI office, none of the physicians was able to tell what had caused all the symptoms. I finally went on google and searched the symptoms. One webpage showed up and talked about Celiac. Bamp! That was it! All the symptoms matched mine. So I went to my Primary care provider to get a Celiac blood test. He did the entire panel of Celiac blood test. But then, it came back negative!!!!!!!!!! So I continue my Prevavid and continue eating gluten. But then I did not give up! I kept google searching and researching. Finally, I found another webpage that said some people with gluten intolerance showed up as negative in the Celiac blood test because the antibodies have not enter their blood stream. Another bamp!. So my next step was to test if I had the antibodies in my intestine. So I purchased a lab kit and sent in my stool samples. In less than a week, it came back as positive for gluten intolerance and possible celiac if I continue eating gluten. So, I told that to my Primary care and GI. They both denied that the tests were accurate. Damn you egotistical doctors!!!! So I ignore their feedback and went gluten free for 1 year. Near the end of the year, all of my acid reflux symptoms were gone!!!!!!!!!! So I continue being on gluten free for over 10 years!!! Last years when I try eating gluten again and tested my stool again. No antibodies at all. I asked the scientist why. She said that my gluten allergy gene might have been suppressed after all these years being on gluten free. That make sense!!! Because none of my siblings have gluten allergy even though we all have the same genes from our parents!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was accused of diversion when I didn't pass twice. It went into my permanent medical record as "violations" of the pain contract. But then the doctor sent for a confirmation test, which cleared me.

It’s not that dangerous to go gluten free. If you suspect you have celiac disease and go gluten free. If your symptoms resolve then obviously you made the right choice. If they don’t resolve then obviously you need to look into things further.

It’s not that easy. Even a microgram of gluten can make someone sick for days.

Lauren M1 well by go gluten free I mean go gluten free. Yes very small amounts of gluten can make someone sick. So go gluten free....there are multiple people I know with celiac disease.
@mysterycomment1553
@mysterycomment1553 4 жыл бұрын
@Judging Budgie doesn’t make a difference. Lots of people cut out gluten 100%. If symptoms totally resolve then stick with it. If you want to get tested or get a scope that is up to the individual. Some people complain and say they are still sick but never actually cut out gluten.
@mysterycomment1553
@mysterycomment1553 4 жыл бұрын
@Judging Budgie it’s not as serious as truly serious ibd like crohns and ulcerative colitis. People have damage from celiac which completely resolves once gluten is removed. Yes it can be serious but is treatable by removing gluten. There are 3 people in my family that had celiac. Once gluten was removed they are totally fine.
@mysterycomment1553
@mysterycomment1553 4 жыл бұрын
@Judging Budgie that goes for any issues people have with their bodies. If you leave basically anything untreated it can result in more damage, more complications and potential cancers.

I'm assuming that the data is kept on servers somewhere in the Internet and that's where the data comes from once you finally log in. Is the data encrypted on these servers? What kind of anti-hacking protocols are being used on those servers? Is Quest bound by HIPAA?

The security protocol is problematic. Before it allows you to access your labs, it tries to verify tour identity using software that asks random questions that supposedly mean something to you. In my case it ask several questions that had nothing to do with. When I answered the questions coreectly, the feedback is it can't verify my identity. Basically worthless. I'm sure I know who I am better than a piece of software. I know who I know and don't know. Where I've been and where I haven't, etc.
