I still can’t believe this movie was written by the co-creator of Twin Peaks and the writer of GoldenEye. Like, did they write this movie in a couple hours and call it a day lol

Small correction on Nolanverse Batman, TDKR takes place 8 years after TDK so Bale's Batman was active for more like 9-10 before he "died"

Hear me out- the first movie became a zeitgeist because of the political climate. It spoke to a certain section of people for whatever reason. Now they have made it a musical with gaga, which is also a prolonged court drama and with the intention that joker will not do joker stuff (confirmed by Phillips). It will therefore have poorer reception, and could even fail to break even.

The day I heard it was going to be a musical I knew it was ggs. Then we got the news of Lady Gaga and that was the final nail in the coffin for me.

I’m sure she’ll do fine. She’s been good in most of her roles. I’m just on the side of it’s okay to leave some things as stand alone movies

The last one didn’t get good first reviews either. I don’t think it indicates the quality of the movie. Just feel the first one is better as a standalone

Bruce Timm actually did not create Harley quinn that was Paul Dini based on his friend Arleen Sorkin All Timm did was finish off the design Timm actually hated the character and wanted to kill her off at multiple points

I think the episode of Static Shock that sticks with me the most is the one where he went to Africa, and a specific line from that episode. Virgil and Ritchie are talking over their shock-boxes and Virgil says something to the effect of, "here, I'm not 'a black kid." I'm just a kid. Is this what it's like for you all the time?" Now, I grew up as a pretty sheltered white kid, but when I heard that, something clicked in my brain. I wasn't black, but I was autistic, so I knew how it felt to not fit in or to not be like everyone else around me, even if it wasn't obvious on the outside. I related to that, and for the first time I realized, "Oh! Other people have to deal with feeling that way too." And from that day on it changed how I see people, especially black people or social minorities, to show them a little more of the respect and kindness I want shown to me.

Thought you would never talk about the dark knight! Lol Dope vid. I think what Batman wanted to do was hard to want to do though (9:38) At least at the end of the movie when he had to take the rap for Harvey.

My brother said this recently when Punisher showed up in the show, my mother did not like what he said lol but I think its really interesting because "good/hero" is overall often pretty narrow, and it takes some effort to bring depth and keep a heroic core that doesnt clash, while a villain is pretty free to move in different different. Ive heard I can also cathartic to see not-so-heroic parts of ourselves unleashed. I like Batman stories, I think the animated series did that a lot, where batman is quite static, but you see tragic villains that reflect aspects of him gone wild. Ras making the city better the easy way, baby doll still being that kid in the alley, freeze doing this all to prevent loss... Batman is a pillar, protecting the city from aspects of himself, and lifting them up whenever he can (wrote this before the batman section heh) Interesting thing about "hard to do vs hard to want to do" 3:24 Its funny to me when people say in cold blood and the person is like super emotional lol

To prove he hasn't learned anything...in Season 2, when he encountered Starlight he actually owned up to his actions and apologised, but in Season 4...he literally goes back to the way he was and blames her cancelling him as he claimed to be an innocent guy. Like seriously, you can't make this up 😂. The Deep will never get a redemption arc XD. He kisses Homelander's ass so much that he is willing to kill people for him, eat his sea creature friends, and run errands for him. It only gets deeper for The Deep 😭.

This show is spectacular. Even more so now that I am older. What like even more about it now is that it did it's own thing away from Marvel and DC (even though its a part of the DCAU).
