Just re-watched this.... Nettie's sister was in Rubella Ballet? My word... they were a favourite of mine. This is nuts!

Saw the SAHB 4 or 5 times. Listening to Faith Healer (chemically assisted) at the Reading Pop Festival, and Pink Floyd at Knebworth were my two musical highlights of the 70s.

Saw Zal and Ted at the Marquee back in the day. The band was called Zal I think. The singer was Leroy Brown a backing singer from the Tubes, we were told. It was a hell of a show, with Leroy hanging from the lighting rig.. Didn't last long but hugely memorable for all the right reasons.

I play the Buddy Rich book A task .It is ingeniously worked out and took a long time to see it musically Or else it would have sounded stupid and stiff Waste of time .A book for life . Some advice with the Steve Gadd book .It is a simple read but very musical So all you drummers take your time with it = Years and years even . Like the Buddy Rich book Steves books rudiments are musical Phrases .When you GET this you will never have to think about the Right sticking to play . Like magic it will just work .His book has tempo markings .They are there for a good reason and will let you work that one out .

Nettie’s books are a must for anyone who grew up in the 60-70s or any fan of the music of the time. I was a teenager in the 60s and her book brought me right back to those amazing times. It was such a great time to be young. Her book just brought all those feelings right back.
