Don't take your children to see a flash flood !!!😮 These events are dangerous and possibly even fatal .☠️ If you, the adult, want to take the risk, then at least you know what the risks are but don't put your kids in a danger zone; they will be just as fascinated watching films

Its embarrassing that there was so much trash laying around for the flood water to pick up. We should be better than that here in the US.

It would help to have some context about where this river bed comes from and where it goes. Is it dry most of the time and are these events normal?

Mother Nature is amazing. To bad all this non-biodegradable trash like all that plastic is being washed into the environment.

I lived in Phoenix for 23yrs. I loved there. Had to move back to Ohio to help with my elderly parents. Lived in buckeye.

When I was a kid living with my family in Glob Arizona we had a flash food. Police came into the movie theater screaming get to high ground now. I remember running with my mother. The pictures of the aftermath were scary. I’m so old,I think it was before recorded time. lol.

Comes from the Cave Creek area North of Phoenix. They got a super storm that dumped like an inch and half really fast.

It is amazing how it goes from nothing to such a large volume of water so quickly. Would love to see the water receding, I imagine it recedes and goes away as quickly as it came?

It all goes to a catchment basin behind a large earth dam. Once it fills to a point it will go through a spillway and down a wash till it connects up with the Aqua Fria River system.

You never know when a catastrophic second wall will come in behind the first wall. Not smart to hange on that edge. Next time, tell the kids to go to high ground.
