This is because they have the legendary 4.6 l engine in them. They put them in the crown vics, Lincoln town cars. And many others. Limo companies buy the town cars with 200k miles on them. Because they know they’ll pick them up dirt cheap and go for 700k miles. There’s a few panther body styles (Lincoln town cars, crown vics, and Mercury grand marquis) that are million mile examples.

The subs are powered by the rear amps. if theres an amp under the radio it powers the 4 little midrange speakers if not, the radio powers them.

i had a ford escape that had 478 thou and its also a ford. never had any real problems. Dont lower it unless you get very expensive high spring rate coil overs. because it'll ride like absolute shit. Trust me I've had 3 newedges and the best one i drove was a stock ride high gt the rest felt horrible.

If you drive this car like an old man, it'll easily last 400k miles. These are taxi motors. Crown vics regularly got 400+ out of them as taxis.

Yeah, they are great engines for sure. The difference between the 4.6 found in civilian cars over the police cars is externals like alternator, ecu tune, suspension work, and cooling equipment, which is why they last so long in the police interceptors. They have great cooling!

165k ain't much on any of these engines as long as its been maintained and you take care of it. Continue to do that it'll be fine. Don't beat on it while it's cold just simple things you'd wanna do and not do with any vehicle.

I seen a 96-98 cobra on here that had well over 400k miles on the original driveline also. Alot of these ford motors are extremely reliable. I laugh when people act like Toyota and Honda can go 100s of thousands of miles but ford's can't. Plenty of ford's have done that even performance vehicles.
