Hi Frank👋 Prices are crazy high in Australia also. Your dollar is strong here. We can buy 12 eggs 600 grams for $5.70 and that is $3.60 US. Petrol $2 just for 1 litre or $1.26 US. Energy prices are too high here forcing up the cost of everything. Hopefully, things will improve in the US and the world over! Cheers Larry🇦🇺😎

I live 10 minutes from there. The inlet itself did not exist during the 1715s, the inlet was created in around 1920 or 21 I think. The spoil islands were created after they dredged to create the inlet. Unfortunately due to dune replenishment and such, most of what we will find at the inlet itself are mostly modern.

Hey Frank, I'm on the next barrier island north of you about 3 miles past Vilano Beach. It's crazy when they do the beach replenishment. Same up here. I don't even know if it's worth going down to the shoreline to look for shells. Could be OK with the wave action but they sure do pump millions of yards of sand on these beaches. Hell, it could be so much worse, just look at the beaches where hurricane Milton hit. The beaches of Ana Maria Island, Siesta Key and Lido Key were all destroyed. Maybe with moderate erosion around Cape Canaveral Seashore could be a better location. Possibly Daytona on South had more severe weather than us up here towards Ponte Vedra Beach. I'm not familiar where you start from but I would try around Cocoa Beach for the buried treasure. St Augustine Beach looks just like play sand from Home Depot. Too clean and the targets would be too deep if at all. Great Beach for Suntans and Pompano though.

I am on the Treasure Coast of Florida, in the Vero Beach area. The motel rooms and such for more than a hundred miles north or south are sold out, and have been for days. Almost all interstate gas stations are sold out. While some stores in the area are still open, most of everything is closed. I was surprised to even find any gas on the way home. While I had almost a full tank, I stopped and topped off just because it was there. Anyway, and this point, there is nowhere else to go.
