Courtney Love on the Kill Rock Stars compilation isn't actually THE Courtney Love from Hole. Indie artist Lois Maffeo used the name Courtney Love for a while (it was a band and I think Rebecca Gates from Spinanes was a part of it for a short period) before THE Courtney Love appeared on the scene. You can read up on it on Internet. Lois Maffeo is a great musician. If you like Juliana Hatfield and Mary Lou Lord, you'll probably enjoy Loïs' music.

I've never seen that rough mix before. Soccer mommy is great. I have that radio ethiopia its really good. Lots of great additions to your collection! Happy holidays!

I love that 30th Lemonheads! The 2nd disc brought me the same happiness I felt in '93 when I first listened to the cd. Hearing songs that are so familiar to me, but done in a different way is the best part. Happy holidays!

The Beatles BBC album is great!

Some great finds, and lot's of stuff that's new to me. It's cool that you can get the box to store all the Brown Acid comps! The George Harrison box set looks good, glad you're enjoying all the bonus tracks. By the way, I'm a big fan of that band Kaleidoscope that you have on the shelf behind you. I Have their first two albums on vinyl, and I just discovered this year that they changed their name to Fairfield Parlour and put out an album in 1970. I just got the CD.

More good stuff seeing the latest Cure cd in your collection, also heard the vinyl is "unjustifiably expensive"....... Nice Firehouse reissue, cool hardrock from the 80's. Killer AIC Ep. and Ratt's Detonator, but seeing Pantera's early stuff was the highlight of the stack. cheers and be well

You have some great stuff! It's interesting to hear about your connection to The Earl of Old Town. I like the look of the soul comp you showed too, and the Brown Acid series. Some of my favourites are the ones that Island Records put out starting in 1969 (the first was called You Can All Join In) which had songs by Traffic, Jethro Tull, Free, Fairport Convention and a bunch of others. I was lucky enough to find two of the first four they put out, and I'm always looking for the others. And I found a 3 LP Warner Brothers compilation box set from 1970 that has songs by The Faces, Little Feat, Ry Cooder, Gordon Lightfoot, Van Morrison, Randy Newman, Grateful Dead, The Kinks...I really like putting a compilation on sometimes - it's like listening to a great radio station!

The who is timeless. I listen to some classic rock and I’m like eh. It was good back then but I don’t look for it. Every time I hear the Who I get fired up and it’s amazing! Saw them live in Tacoma where Pete broke his hand doing the windmill. My favorite band that still stands the test of time.

Burning Ambitions sounds like a fantastic compilation! I'm not too familiar with the Kill Rock Stars label, but the artwork on those album jackets is fantastic. Twenty volumes of Brown Acid! Too cool. Good luck in the contest Christian!

I like the shirt Christian. Earl of old town looks very interesting. I will need to check that out. The punk take on sergeant pepper! I added this to my want list. Looks a little expensive now but great bands on that one. Kill Rock Stars series looks outstanding as well.

Good to see you again Christian. I got the kiss me kiss me on a very nice used vinyl from Germany at a record fair, so I got Disintogration on new vinyl after and was very happy with that. I love the new Cure album and the number of people who watched my video for it! Oh, funny, I mention Carrie Brownstein and Sleater Kinney in my vinyl tag today! Oh ABC. Love then. Wonderful album that. Oh cool, Ratt, I had not heard that one before... was it a year ago or this early spring I got the Ratt box? Memory lane and mysterious sidestreers 😄 Wonder if Rod Steward and Krokus have ever been shown back to back? Oooh I want that Tom Petty! Well, both of them as it turned out. I went to college in upstate NY. In 1980 in Saranac Lake NY. And happen to pick up Montréal's main rock station, CHOM -FM. Those French Canadians love their rock and roll! April wine was at the top of the list. ❤
