It’s a task to find speakers that you enjoy for both music and Home Theater. I’m definitely a music first kind of guy and about 10 years ago. I ran across a company that flies under the radar, Ariel acoustics. I use them in a system for both and although I’d say they really excel at music, they do really well with Home Theater too.

@MusclesAVS
@MusclesAVS 5 ай бұрын
Pros for Rythmik. Cost is much lower and they are faster and more accurate. They don’t have the low end of the JTRs. If budget is no concern I would go with JTR for movies. They have significantly more output than the rythmiks. If I were movie focused I’d go RS1.

You have owned some of the best gear I have coveted over the years . I’m curious to hear how the JTR 210 RTs compare to your current paradigms. I have actually never heard the 210RT's, I doubt they are much different from my 212RT's, I believe they are less sensitive if I recall correctly. Persona's vs JTR's isn't a fair fight, they cost like 6x as much. JTR's are the king for movies as far as I am concerned. I don't really show off for people so super loud movies isn't something I am going after. I like to have a great music experience with my thoughts in my own space...by myself. Persona's are like an amazing concert for one....spellbinding.

I would actually say no. Depending on the size of your room this is more likely a lateral move. Go JTR ported instead of JTR sealed. Movies need more output. RS1 is likely very similar to pb16 above 30hz and well below it below 30hz.

Thanks so much for recommending ULF. I got two 2400ULFs, and no regrets thus far. Really fattened up my speakers' bottom end on bass-heavy music, and far as movies, love the effortlessness when compared to the PB4000s, which sounded warbly down low. Not blaming SVS though, I hadn't retuned when unplugging the ports. I like how tall the JTRs are, so I can experiment with flipping them upside down and see what I like more.
