Thank you for sharing, I love how you explain the sound and letters. I appreciate that you try not to race through the sounds and explanations of the letters and vowels.

This is one letter I always get confused about 😂 my daughter said her teacher said "it costs £5 to go to the zoo", the 5 looks like a zayin 😀 Good way to remember it too!

I'm confused about a sheva being pronounced following a shuruk (vav with a dagesh) mentioned at 3:19. I'm studying the Shabbos bedtime shema in an Artscroll transliterated suddur. Under Hamapil section it shows וּתְנוּמָה is pronounced "us-numo", indicating the sheva is silent following the shuruk. Another example is וּתְהֵא transliterated as "us-hay". Am I missing something? Thank you for your time!

I've been studying Hebrew for 2 weeks. I can read and write the "letters" now, and can read a handful of basic words. I'll practice writing a few short words next. Then I'll buy a grammar and dictionary.

Shalom! Hi, I noticed your kreyat shema appears to be in Aramaic. Is that right? The reason I say that is that it says “יי” as I often see in Onkelos Targum instead if “יהוה” which I often see In Chumash. May I ask which siddur the prayer comes from? Many blessings :)

I just learned the opposite, that Reish has a curve, so to speak - "it's bent over in humbleness" - and the Dalet has the sharp corner.
