If the mother has not been around or in contact for years. The father could divorce for abandonment without her mother needing to be involved. That would solve the problem of inheritance. He would need to get a lawyer to check the will to make sure it only includes the new wife, the children and grand children and the ex wife can't contest it.

One, Patricia's boyfriend (Lara's brother) changes from Ross to Jeremy within the story. WTF? Secondly, even though it was hinted at in the thumbnail at the beginning, NO WHERE in the story does girlfriend Patricia have to be admitted to the hospital for eating rat poison. Pathetic, this wasn't about rat bait, it was CLICKBAIT. Sloppy content and editing. Be more professional.
