LOL! I've been in many Owners Suites that are Texas-size (huge)... This one feels amazing (even without a loft).

That pool is pure joy! With the kids jumping off the fountain and into the pool and popping out of the hot tub ... they were stars!!

It is a gorgeous home. It feels amazing inside and out! I haven't been able to create a "lifestyle" video in some time and the market is perfect for getting out of the box and showing property in a unique way! I look forward to creating more out-of-the-box stories. Maybe Andy will be in them if we need actors!

John, first of all, thank you so much for watching. We are working hard to bring you great house tours in and around Austin! I totally appreciate that the Sunrise church is a 15 minute-ish walk away over at Manchaca. And, this particular church has a reputation of doing good work for those in need. Secondly, I've spent a lot of time in this particular 78745 neighborhood. I've met neighbors with babies and young children who have biked over to my open house, talked to many folks of all ages, shapes and sizes and I've petted a lot of dogs as I've put out and picked up my open house signs... all while feeling safe day and night. Neighbors know their neighbors. It's refreshing to say the least. This area offers incredible affordability for homes that would cost twice as much in 78704 or other zip codes. And, that means great people have the opportunity to live close to downtown and minimize commuting time without paying the prices that they would in other neighborhoods. The newer houses (like the one we're featuring) and older houses side sit by side. It's great to drive around and see the variety and all the old trees and gardens. The schools are really picking up with multiple language programs and so much more. So basically, living in this area means you can live in a new home (affordability), save commuting time (emissions and time away from your family) and you get space because some lots, like this one, have room for a pool which is awesome given our Austin TX summer heat. Q: @JohnGalt, What are some of your favorite neighborhoods around Austin that have great new construction houses and strong affordability?

@ACM9407, it's an odd one in that 1714 Elmhurst Dr Austin TX 78741 is attached to Taylor Gaines by the garages. So it looks massive from the outside. The car you see in the image is in the back garage of Elmhurst. The Elmhurst entryway and another driveway is to the far right of the image. And, yes, it's just over 2000 inside. Love the look of these. Very elegant. What’s your view on these with 11’ ceilings? Considering cost is not an issue, Is it much of a difference in spaciousness compared to these?

​@@adrianculmer7167 love this question! A standard interior door is generally 6'7". Placing an "8' door" anywhere will add to your view and luxury feel. Whether you have a 10ft or 11ft ceiling height, the value of the 8 ft door is elegance. The variable comes in the # of panels (side by side) with wall length. 8ft doors are also a "standard" made by many door manufacturers. The other consideration is how the height of the glass doors will line up with the tops of windows in your home.

@ReyRawlins that room is approximately 12 1/2 x 12. It feels pretty roomy in there for a kids bedroom. If you'd like more information, please let me know! I love showing that floor plan and pointing out nuances to folks.

The 12 foot "wall of doors" bring in so much sunshine and at night it feels incredible in the main area! Thank you so much for watching. I'd love to find this house a "forever family" here in Austin.

Love the idea of raised beds to grow your own food! Especially now with the cost of organic produce. What are you growing at home?

@@jennifersgoodman My growing days are over unfortunately. I used to have a 25'x25' garden in the back and where flowers used to be in the front of the rented house, I extended the area half way to the street and had garden there as well. I used the Milliliter gardening system and setup a timed watering system. I produced so much food, I could not put it all up. I gave it away to several friends and neighbors. They loved it and I loved growing. But age and health has taken it's tole. I'm still a pure blood...meaning I didn't take the jabs. I still see the truth in things. I hear Austin is becoming a cesspool for migrants and homeless. That's a shame. There is plenty of work for everyone if they would just do it. I lived in Texas for a couple of years, back in 2009. Had some interesting experiences. I loved the roads there. I lived in Katy for a while, Houston for a while too. Lived in Cross Plains, Brownwood, and oh yes, Abilene...and a few other places. I only visited Austin and I got as far south as I could go in Texas, down around Brownsville. I visited an organic gardener down there too.

@@mday1416 growing food at home is a true gift we can give to ourselves. I love that you had that opportunity and shared so generously.
