Hi, Interesting little video. Could you please check if the QR-code works on the chinese one? Someone said that is the easiest way to tell if it's fake.

You can tell it's fake just looking at it, the battery holder is upside down, the switch is completely wrong and the color is off. Now it's open there should be 4 wires going to the battery connection for the Flex volt battery that will only except 20 volt battery and the internal switch would be much more robust and lastly those wires look thinner than they should be and dewalt uses white lithium grease

Thanks for the great video. I was going to order the dcg414 from ali, now i would better take 405. Like the switch on it better, and since its the same motor, and its cheaper. Have genuine dewalt 405. Was looking for second one, just to clean the edges after cutting metal off. Happy new year!

The version that fits with dewalt batteries is called Electric Goddess. I've also seen reviews of the Chinese dcf512 and it looks reasonable for that money

Unknown IC1 is a HT1621B and "Green capacitor" is a NTC thermistor as it says on the PCB :p Holtek HT1621B is the LCD driver. NTC is there probably for the temperature reading, room temperature?.

All you had to do was tell ebay it was counterfeit. I just bought 1 dozen counterfeit work gloves from eBay, and the seller had to pay return shipping. The seller offered to let me keep them for 1/ 2 price. That alone backed up what I already knew.I declined! Also, it's important to leave a review and let everyone know it's a fake!!! So many things are Chinese knockoffs that I needed dewalt batteries, so I bought them at a local store instead of eBay because I didn't want fake ones and the hassle.

I bought a new DeWalt angle grinder from my local B & Q because at the time i did not now enough about the fake's that are available everywhere. 1) Control buttons, 2) Yellow Colour, 3) On/off Button, 4) Sticker Font, 5) 20v Max on ebay, 6) Price. it's not just DeWalt either, Alliexpress - Ebay - Temu - They are all doing it. I reported a seller the other day for selling a fake Milwaukee as the control buttons interface gave it away. Ebay got back to me saying that the device was not fake when it blatantly looked fake ! So with having no faith what so ever in the ebay goons, I will never buy tools off sellers i dont trust. Abby Power is the company i buy from when i have. I'm thinking of tearing my tools down to show Joe public genuine product so ppl like yourself can tell the real from the fake.
