Erica’s background is fascinating! And “linguistic necromancer” is an excellent appellation.

Erin has a true gift for storytelling. Her creations delve into the depths of magic, character relationships, and deeper lessons of importance of the balance of nature along with the human connection to the greater world around us and her other children. It's awesome the professor praised her for her gift in creative writing. I was glad to have received the original edition to her A Vow to Fury novel though I haven't read it in some time after I first finished it. There are definitely surprises in her stories that I didn't expect and it's great she's going forward with her writing career. Fantasy is such a powerful genre that really brings people into the worlds of magic that expand our minds and open our hearts to to beings, lessons, and truths with the tales they tell. It's also great to hear she's going to be having the stories and history of the First Nations in mind in her current and future work. There's so much that people still don't know about the horrors of colonization, genocide, and racism that still plague their communities to this day that began centuries ago. There are certain differences traditions and beliefs amongst the Nations though there are similarities (this would be best understood by listening to their communities, elders, and stories (both traditional, personal, and fictional short story/novel/tv/film creations (many of these last ones rooted in/empowered by the former ones)). (This is the case with all indigenous peoples around the world.) There is power in stories both in reality and in fiction, their meanings are like the notes of a song (they're all needed to bring it into harmony and they can't do it without the others). I'm looking forward to her rewrite of her story and what else she creates. (I also gotta make sure to try to help share her story and her presence as a write more too.)

Thank you for reading Humble Glory and giving it such a positive review! I'm hoping to have the next book, Gentle Fury, out next Spring. This one involves more fantasy elements and in it Raldus continues to learn more about himself and how to relate to the people and world around him as he searches for the mysterious entities who enabled Tallio to do so much damage in Humble Glory.

Who is that sexy man in the blue dress shirt 😍?
@zoebrugg75944 ай бұрын
It reminds me of classic Assassin’s Creed; assassin’s protecting people off of the creed; hide in plain sight, spare your blade from the flesh of the innocent, never compromise the brotherhood. “Nothing is true, Everything is permitted.” Ezio explained that everyone had a belief and freedom and that society is fragile but needs protection. Protection from the Templars who want order from control, and harm innocent people to do it. It’s a tug-of-war through the ages.

I got your book! And the packaging is awesome! From the warning on the front packaging, to the brown paper and string! So cool! 😁👍🏻👍🏻
@zoebrugg75944 ай бұрын
Sounds like a meaty book! Almost intimidating but sounds like a proper assassin fantasy; not a glass throne, or girl assassins falling for princess and not being vary assassin like. Something harkening to Assassin's Creed.... could be a little dark for me, but I've watched Walking Dead, GoT, and the Last of Us game... Oh, brain exploding! 😮 (listens to the rest of the video reading) ... Oh yes!! Assassin's Creed fan steering! I'll take it!!
