I just had to delete a post talking about FEMA and hurricane victims. There are so many people out there spreading lies, hate, and anger by making up lies and conspiracy just to sway the election. This poster was not trying to cause any trouble but I'm making the decision to monitor comments right now to make sure to help prevent the spread of more lies. It's just over one week from of a storm of such magnitude and destruction - 6 states affected rather than just one or two, can make it seem like things aren't moving quickly enough but the lies that are being pumped out are are not helping and leaving many people with angry and wrong ideas. I can't take the chance that any of the erroneous posts are coloring anyone else's opinions or opening this site up to some of the other conspirators. There are many groups helping like Samaritan's Purse, The Red Cross, State agencies, and others, so there are plenty of good strong charities to donate to. Try to make sure that you donate straight to approved charities so the money goes out quicker to give help. Please check with reputable sources to get your information so you aren't inadvertently spreading hateful information. We want to only do good. People are suffering enough as it is. Thank you.

If it weren't for the Colorwash Rowland Style quilt, I would have been at a standstill. I couldn't make it today for the show. I did find some Effervescence. Mine doesn't look like yours. Mine is Effervescence Design # 17062 Amelia Caruso for Kaufman. Wonder if you have a different Design #. I like yours better. Sure miss the live broadcast.

What a great idea!! There are so many ways you can make your own paper bead strips! I often use permanent markers and make my own doodle designs which I then cut into strips! I would love to see photos of what you make: [email protected] I do a weekly Show and Tell of viewer art!

Love the quilt that is in your background. I'm sorry that I couldn't make it for the live presentation. That baby quilt turned out great. They will love it. I am feeling better thank you. I will be posting what Sunday we will be making it! Keep posted! I think it would be fun. You can collect your surplies: Water Soluable Stableizer, decorative yarns and threads. If you have a couching foot for your sewing machine - that might be helpful. Also think of what size you want to make your bowl and have a form to drape it on once you've sewn it. Thank you so much hon! That deer hasn't come back again and we miss her! I think she comes to eat before we wake up!!! My hostas aren't fans of hers! Thank you for understanding my need to have some more 'me' time. I got a lot of cleaning done on my room and that made me feel so much better today. We got the vacuum today and it's a Shark version and it's GREAT so far!!! More time to sew!!! Hugs, Deb

I know you’re not current but you are the only one who says you don’t have to use 10 inches of your pretty paper! You can make a million beads wit a batik🩷

I still make paper beads when I want to do something relaxing and mindless! I am too frugal to waste good paper so when I can figure out how to do it more cheaply! @@ourtimetoquilt8495 I Have found a lot of envelopes I get have a black and white print of some kind on the inside. I’m going to try that print over scrap white paper to see how they turn out. ( my other hobby on hold is quilting) Thanks for the video!

@@janice1131 Those are called security envelopes to keep anyone from trying to see what's inside. I LOVE making beads from those. I've even used envelopes that have printing inside that says 'please recycle' which is think is perfect for making beads!! he he I cut them into 2.5 inch wide strips and glue them on the end of a piece of junk sheet paper and then cut it into strips. You only need just enough to wrap that last printed bit around the bead! People are always surprised that I made them out of junk mail! Have fun! Oh and I'm going to teach a free class on making Storm at Sea quilts in July. I am going to do it zoom style so if you'd like to participate, email me! [email protected], to sign up. Hugs, Deb
