This is a lovely aesthetic, but something in your production flow is causing a predictable, consistent frame-drop glitch every 1 second or so. Would love for you to get that sorted because it would level up the whole production. I'm curious to hear what the cause is 🙂

@@xPocketStaff at the end of the day we aren’t talking about high quality optics for small cameras. You won’t find much in terms of options. If you want true anamorphic invest in a mirrorless and glass.

I have been waiting for someone to review this lens for a while now. Is it just me or does it seem to have a big problem with the sharpness in almost two thirds of the image. I really love the diy you made earlier, it actually inspired me to make one myself. Problem was the lens opening is a tiny bit to small so I get light leaks that makes a white vignetting. I hope you’ll make a in depth review of the neewer lens later on when you have tested it a bit. Till then keep up the good work 😊

Yes big problem of this lens is very blury on edge ...i hope i can do better anamorpich lens one day than this Neewer lens. Anyway this Neewer anamorphic is good for close shot or shot where you can composite well and hide that blurry information

no, dont use mist filter .i did a strong color correction and the close shots i use my diy custom lens for soften the image and the minimal focus also change with like a macro lens type

oh god, what a beautiful clip sharpness is reduced and yet denoise is up and the lighting seems so warm. i cannot figure how you managed to reduce sharpness and at the same time denoise it. well id say good job is done

What phone did you get the lens from?

You can use any anamorphic phone lens, I used one and took the lenses (parts) out of it and used them

@@RotoGluOn Yes, it is large and heavy, but without the lens body, these anamorphic phone lenses can weigh 5-8 g, only the "lens part" and pocket3 "gimbal" can handle .you can see at 0:50 these 3 parts about 5g
