Cant you fill in the cracks in the earrings and bake again? I guess not, I do that with air dry clay for my hobby
@FionaCArt43 минут бұрын
It’s a great question and I should’ve went into this more. yes - technically we could bisque fix some of them if we wanted, but they are a ton of time to glaze in volume with a high crack risk so sometimes our time is better spent on new ones (which we did to much success!). Plus we are able to recycle the clay pre-glazing so it doesn’t go to waste. I’m not sure if my logic makes sense, but makes sense to me lollll thanks for watching and commenting :)

I can not express how much I resonate with Donna! My art is so from her palette I’m blown away… we hear from the same source but in our own key. My scale is way smaller and on a Dollar Tree and bellow budget… I call my things spiritual fidgets. I’m so bouncing from project to project like her but almost exclusively in my mind. Wow, this tour is brilliant. I’ve been so fortunate to have visited Donna’s studio before but we never had the opportunity to really speak in depth about her process and this artist talk/studio visit just lit up my soul. Thank you for doing this Fiona and thank you Donna for letting us take a peak. You are brilliant. Your way of working on many things at once is what I have done for years but am really struggling with at the moment. And being reminded of it helps. There are so many brilliant quotes in this video. Thank you for letting us see into your method, into your mind and on going process. You are a true artist’s artist. You are deep in it and I can only hope I find that kind of depth in process myself again! Everyone’s studio envious for sure.

Beth, I did my first painting in 1992 and didn’t pick up the paint brush again until the Spring of 2020. I needed something to do during the pandemic. I am also multidisciplinary artist, originally as a musician, singer/songwriter from the 1970’s to present day but am enjoying painting more now than creating music. I love your art! I mostly painted with acrylics and alcohol but also started painting with watercolors and gouache this year. I’m having so much fun with them, as well as painting with mixed mediums. I don’t post a lot of my art on my channel yet, but plan to do more in the future. Good luck with your art. 🥰👩🎨
