So...$100 million so you could hide the orchestra under the floor? Maybe after your next campaign you can hide the actors behind the screen too. After all, you can "pretend" and "lose yourself" in the story much better if not limited by messy, distracting things like flesh-and-blood performers.

6:25 I grew up under the impression the whole country did have what we had. I miss the Muny and Forest Park, all the opportunity it provides for something to do with your day. Loving this documentary series so far 💙

RIP Ken Page. I hope they keep his voice as the "welcome to the muny intro" it wouldn't be the same without something from him as part of every muny performance.

Ouch! This is painful. The only redeemable part is Dorothy's voice. But the rest is utter garbage with zero connection to the original. Costumes? Terrible. Didn't the designer get the memo that Dorothy's dress is WHITE?! And the Scarecrow's shoes are NOT Converse! And were those Poppies or Leopards? And musical instruments?! They're dancers! Choreography? Direction? It's like there was an all-white creative team with zero idea about what this show SHOULD feel like! I could go on and on, but what's the point, this was years ago. The only good thing I could say is that it's actually not as bad as that even MORE embarrassing "revival" that just closed on Broadway! Sheesh! Folks, please don't ever do this show if you don't want to bother to know this show!!!

I couldn’t think of a better swan song for Ken Page than the Bishop of Dignes in Les Miz, I remember being profoundly moved in the audience because he seemed frail but was singing valiantly. After his final ever performance he signed my program at the backstage entrance and I told him he was very kind and I got to thank him for his moving performance. I remember seeing other principal cast members walk offstage with him during the curtain call with their arms around him. Rest easy Ken Page. 😢❤
