I bought a tube feeder just like yours. The pellets compact in the tube so I end up having to pull feed down to mouth of tube for them. It does not free flow down as the chickens eat. Thought this would be a great feeder as it holds a fair amount for 6 chickens. Also a lot of spillage of feed from the tube. Any input on a better feeding system that could be do it yourself yourself

@@katherinevink475 We had to buy a solid pvc pipe to cover the end of the tube then cut half of it off so the bottom half would still be there to prevent spillage. Ours does flow.

Started getting obsessed with wanting to own chickens and glad I stumbled upon your video. Your land is so lovely and is a great place for your chickens! A self feeder and self waterer is amazing on how you set it up

Thank you for sharing:) I am moving in a couple of weeks to a small mountain town, to live in a cabana, which has a glassed in front porch. I can totally visualize adding a potting bench and various storage options, as well as set up a cozy reading nook

I love Kohlrabi. My mom always had that in our garden.... It tastes kind of like a cross between a broccoli stem and a radish. She always added it to salads. I forgot about this vegi.... hope I get a taste.

I love the garden so much in Naples that I have an annual family membership. My favorite spot is the lily pad pond. It's so tranquil and fascinating to me. Just one of the many reasons that Naples is one of the best places to live!

I love your coup.its so organized.the olny thing about the chicken waters are that you should have something with water in it so they can clean out their breaks in.i had put the white,2 inch wide by maybe 2 in deep water hand ons from Petco.they were just a couple of dollars each.they have 2 wire on back and are easy to take out and refill.just a thought because they cant spit.

@@Grace-so1ov Most days they are out free ranging. I do see them “playing” in the fountains sometimes. Also, the water spouts do hold a bit of water.
@Grace-so1ovКүн бұрын
@@FloridaGardenGal I'm sure that's fine if the have fountains out side!I wish I could free range,but where I live,you have to be right close by,or the coyotes,extra get them,halks are a big problem.we have people around us that got a lot of their chickens taken 😧what the animals around here do is wait until they are big and fat then pounce,it gives them a false sense of security.

Paint your hardware cloth black ( use a small roller ) Like magic it will look as if there is no hardware cloth at all It also makes it easier to see in to the coop.
