I stood on a Death Adder only 200m into that trail from the Cobcroft car park. It took a wack at my boot good and propper. 1:16

Where do you get those tubes from? And just normal helmets or is there something specifically for water? Just moved to the snowy mountains and would love to get into this 😊
@JamieMakesFitnessFun10 күн бұрын
@@dionjayw I'd suggest you do a white water rescue course if you want to be safe. They make both white water tubes & helmets. You can buy them from a kayak shop. On the cheap side you can use a skateboard style helmet & a cheap tube from Kmart or a tyre shop if you have a valve removing tool. Be safe 👍

Hi, We just went there a few days ago, and we couldn't figure out how to get to the bottom of the fall. There doesn't seem to be any visible track from the top, nor could I find any other trail on the map leading to the fall bottom. Would very much appreciate the tip please :)
@JamieMakesFitnessFun11 ай бұрын
sounds like you were posibly at the wrong falls? There is a track
@sergy533711 ай бұрын
@@JamieMakesFitnessFun I'm sure the same: on Bril-Bril Creek, accessed via N Snowy Rd. Your drone footage shows the one I meant. Where is the tack down? It's sheer cliffs covered with thick bush on both sides as far as I could check safely. But you did it with the kid so there must have been a relatively easy track down! Now I'm waiting for suitable weather to try finding the way to the Falls bottom from the downstream side, scrambling through the creek. Any better tips please :)? cheers
@JamieMakesFitnessFun11 ай бұрын
@@sergy5337 If you want to get to the other falls on Bril Bril you're best with some abseiling skills. To get to the bottom of Punchbowl you go down the gully / track river left

Great hike. Good confidence builder for your comrades. I often wonder if the damage from the fires 20 or so years ago will ever lead to regeneration. I remember driving along the trail to Spokes many years ago (before NP stopped maintaining it). About 40 years ago you could drive up to Banda as well. Awesome views from both locations.
