Where did you order these from? And what axles are you running?
@OffGridandOffRoad
@OffGridandOffRoad 18 күн бұрын
@ScottLight10 I got them on ebay. They were for a Chevy 1500. My axles are stock. I have a lock right in the front and a helical locker in the rear. With 4:88 gears. Should have done 5:13.

@@OffGridandOffRoad oh ok, I was talking about the long travel axles. I’m building a 04 I have a mini spool in the rear and been thinking about a lunchbox locker in the front.

That turned out nice. I wonder what it would take to make a group of those crates able to stay outside for storage. Hmmm, the mind boggles. tHanks for the video

Good thought.. I am sure it could be done with treated material and made to be weather tight. Thanks for the comment. We appreciate it.

No venting for the cook top which is in the middle of the kitchen. Little odd. Beautiful place though.

@Toyahsi2 Thank you. Not really necessary unless you are burning stuff on the cooktop. My brother has a brand new house in Denver and there is no vent on the island cooktop.

@Toyahsi2 and besides most of the modern vents just vent right back into the room.

@@OffGridandOffRoad That's one of my biggest problems as you stated, most builds these days unless they are foodies that actually cook, vent right back into the room. I cook a lot outside but love cooking and proper venting is a must. A real vent.

@Toyahsi2 Darcie is an amazing cook and is in the Kitchen all the time. She also does a lot of cooking on the smoker. Never had any issues with the kitchen. But to each their own. Everyone has their own needs. Vents are an easy addition.

Off grid? What is powering it, where is the well?
@OffGridandOffRoad
@OffGridandOffRoad 3 ай бұрын
@annalong1260 Did you have a chance to watch our Introduction Video? It shows all of our off grid equipment. Although we are taking it with us to Arizona. The house will be back on the grid when we leave. Unless someone really wants the system we are willing to negotiate. The well is near the Greenhouse.

@@OffGridandOffRoad I only saw this video and am searching for the off grid dream property. Which is difficult because most states have regulations regarding off grid living.
@OffGridandOffRoad
@OffGridandOffRoad 3 ай бұрын
@annalong1260 Yes.. there are always some hurdles. But I have managed to make it work. We have a well, septic, greenhouse, propane, wood stoves, and although we have the grid available we can still run the house and greenhouse off grid. The grid still runs the garage and workshop but another system linked to the existing one could take it completely off grid.

Nice work, you really made those low profile. The video editing and presentation was clear and succinct. Not often you see that level of effort on smaller channels, great job. I was curious about one thing. Would it be worth putting a few weep holes on the flat plate or is it at a slight angle where holding water won’t be an issue? Second was since the slider brace goes up and connects directly to the frame you should be able to jack up from it right? In a rock slide scenario most of the vehicle weight could be on it anyway? It would be cool to see a quick short video of you raising the sides by the rock sliders just a few inches to see how it flexes/or doesn’t flex. I’d like to have some sliders on my vehicle but I’m not crazy about most of the commercial options. I might need to see if I could get a hand from some of the welders I know. Thanks for showing the whole process.

We have an EG4 18Kpv (12 kilowatt inverter charger $4,898) with 60 kilowatts of DIY batteries by Apexium with the JK-Inverter-BMS ($8,000). Each 15 kilowatt battery was under $2,000 and 36 Bi-Facial 405 watts solar panels ($5,600). we use a 6500 watt diesel generator ($450 used) running on filtered waste veggie-oil during the cloudiest days of winter. All in for under $20,000), we saved over $8,200. Building the DIY batteries was so easy, about two hours for each one. I would be glad to help you save the big money like we have. We are completely off-grid and lack nothing. I would not spend the money on a retail battery, but if i did, it would be for the EG4-WallMount Indoor Battery ($3,299). Signature Solar or Current Connected.

Wow.. thank you for the information. We are currently selling our home in Colorado. We have purchased land in Arizona that we will be starting a new completely off grid build. As soon as we can. I am very interested in getting more detailed information once we get down there. We are talking all of our power equipment from here with us to get us started.
