Just so you know I discovered you through the "Daily Grace" sent out via byFaith. I'm going through some difficult times and the Lord has used you to encourage and strengthen me. Thank the Lord for those means. This last one for Aug 6th really spoke to me and so I found my way to your channel here and I just happen to be reading Philippians so I immediately went to this sermon. Also been reading devotionals from John Piper about what Joy is and how the Gospel is really about fellowship with Jesus. I've ordered your book and look forward to how the Lord will use it in my and my wife's life. Again thank you.

All sounds catholic to me. But what is you definition of love Pastor?
@iambow103 ай бұрын
Jesus dying on the cross for our sins is the definition of love, so we can have everlasting life with him.
@PatrickSteil3 ай бұрын
@@iambow10 That is our perfect example of love. But not a definition. How do we define love so that other's can understand what we are called to do in order to Love God with ALL our heart, mind, soul and Love our Neighbor as we love ourselves?

Psalm 57:1 NASB95 - 1 For the choir director; [set to] Al-tashheth. A Mikhtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, For my soul takes refuge in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge Until destruction passes by.

Amen he covers so much!! I believe that Jesus tells God in appropriate ways because he is our intercessor. He tells god what our heart says when our words don't quite fit

The Bible (which is the living Word) clearly identifies the wisdom of man acquired by learning a trade or by his studies. The Bible describes scientists, mathematicians, doctors, traders, fishermen, sheep herders, and carpenters. The same can be said about today, we the Body, can approach anyone to show them the truth of the Gospel, point to them how God blesses the man who exercises his work. However, it has become more difficult if no impossible for us Christians to share the gospel at school or at work.

Freedom of choice is that makes us believe whether the Bible is true or not. The Gospel even says so. If it wasn't true, then we are the most liars of all. My friend, believe.
@jimmyjohnsen18917 ай бұрын
I completely agree with you but that is something that is hard to struggle with. I want to be doing those right things for the right reasons but I am human. I am selfish. I try to do it with selflessness. Doing the right thing when no one is watching. But God is always watching,

And that's all because we are not asking the Holy Spirit to guide us in our actions and deeds. We are relying in our minds to do what we think are works that please God.

Absolutely true . So many people wake up around 4 AM to attending early prayer meeting at the church in Korea . One of lady is 86 and still get up 4 in the morning to attending prayer meeting but she is very critical and self- righteous . I am not saying attending early morning prayer meeting is wrong but to many people it’s ritual and self - righteous act towards God and people.

Numbers 23:19 19God is not a man that He should lie, nor is He a mortal that He should relent. Would He say and not do, speak and not fulfill?
