This was a big race for sure, and we won! the leg of the Tall ships race in 2010 (former The Cutty Sark Tall Ships' Races)

They've doused the spanker, mizzen topgallant and all royals, but they've still got tons of sail up and are a bit overcanvassed. No in-the-boom furling here, just send the men up and hope the wind doesn't freshen. I would doubt that, absent an actual battle (or race), this amount of sail would have been common. You can't be leaving rig, crew, and sails in the middle of the ocean.
