I’ve had the privilege of watching and listening to many talented violinists, both young and experienced: the legendary Heifetz, Menuhin, Sarah Chang, Joshua Bell, Hilary Hahn, Ray Chen, Chloe Chua, and gifted youngsters like Emily Bear and Alma Deutscher. However, it’s only recently that I’ve had the opportunity to witness a truly remarkable talent in action - Himuri Yoshimura. I recall watching her perform on video many years after her win at the Festival Grumieux as a child prodigy at just 7 years old. At the time, it seemed like an extraordinary feat for someone so young to demonstrate such mastery and musicality on the violin, such a difficult instrument. However, upon seeing her play again, I realized that my initial impression was only a fraction of what she’s capable of. Her recent performances have left me in awe, showcasing a level of technical precision, emotional depth, and sheer virtuosity that borders on unprecedented at such a young age. As far as I’m aware, no child has ever achieved this level of mastery on the violin before her, making her achievements truly groundbreaking.
Meet you there. I will attend her performance of 20th March 2025. Not to be missed.

THE QUEEN OF PIANOINTERPRETATION!! UNERREICHT !!!
