This is the warrior that defeated the great Manny Pacman at least twice , and maybe three times, but was only awarded one victory because the judges were cornered by a TKO and could not give Pacman another controversial victory . Marquez and Pacman ,both , are two of the greatest of all time.

I believe this was 15 months after his previous fight which was over in 1st round, so that's alot of time off for Mike. I'm going off memory here but I believe he did suffer knee damage in this fight. It would take him 10 months to get ready for his fight against McBride. I wish we got a Jim Gray interview postfight.
