John Belushi was pretty good. Not a wide range, but he could carry a tune. I watched a documentary where Duck Dunn commented that he could not understand people's criticism of Akroyd and Belushi. Said he was the veteran of many sessions with far less talented people.

Flew home next day. Already knew before seeing family after deplaning. Tears and Joy dear brother~ twin spook🖤🎃💛

We played this chart in High School Jazz Band , at Strong Vincent High School in Erie Pa 1973-1976. Me on Tenor Sax. Some of my favorite memories of HS.

I've been spinning LPs and 45s since age 7 in the late 70's and started drum lessons at age 9 in 1978. Somehow, I completely missed everything provided by the Average White Band in my younger years. I heard their name of course, but for whatever reason I associated it with some "one hit wonder" band I had long forgotten about. Today I was prompted to look their work up....I was stunned. ......2x4 to the face. This stuff is massive! I would put this up there with legendary stuff like "Switch" and "Tower of Power".......any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Totally shocked that I was so out of touch but am happy to be here now!

I was 5, my brother was 17 who played this on his 8 track as he drove me around in his 68 Firebird. When my dad caught me singing all the lyrics...wow did my brother get in trouble :)
