On my first play through I really enjoyed Patty she was funny in the cutscenes and I was excited to play as her since well she’s a little pirate girl with a gun that’s funny. Sadly I didn’t have the patience to figure her battle style out mainly because of the different forms so she always stayed in my team and I just played as Yuri for the remainder of the game. Watching this really helped me understand how Patty plays and I’m once again excited to play as her on my second play through now that i understand her battle style. A bit of me is annoyed that I didn’t looked this video up when I should of but oh well.

It's one of the new artes from the PS3 version. All the new audio that was recorded for the definitive edition are of a lower quality compared to the original so that's why it sounds so different, especially when heard side by side like this.

It just occurred to me, Rita’s altered spell isn’t Gold Cat, it’s Gold Katz I knew about Katz AFTER Vesperia, but shouldn’t the localizers have known from previous games? Weird

For me Rita would be excellent to play as. Especially that Rita can use "Tidal Wave" which attacks all enemies.

Magic casters in the Tales Of series are strong as hell in the mid to late game, that's why I always use the MC in the early till I get the fast casting/no cast skill or item (depending on the game) then I'll switch to the mage unless it's a boss fight where it can charge into the character I am using in a flash.

One way Rita can be surprisingly powerful in the early game if you use the grade shop on a new game+ is to have her grind fireball to 3500+ uses; if you do, it will shoot a stream of 10 fireballs, which is extremely powerful for a cheap novice level spell

I do wish the tales mc's had more variety in terms of weapons. So far it's only swords and fists. Maybe the next game the mc can be an archer. :3

Yeah JRPGs need to let go of the sword protagonist thing already. At least with Tales most of the protagonists have a unique and cool style with the sword that makes them feel unique.

Celica's 2nd color is my personal favorite because it gives me Chun-Li vibes. Sometimes I feel like all of her colors are giving me X-Men vs. Street Fighter vibes in a sense. Celica's colors with pantyhose are equivalent to Chun-Li in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo form, and her colors with socks should be to Chun-Li in Street Fighter Alpha form. And if the socks colors don't match up to Chun-Li, maybe it would be to Sakura.

@@markvermo7523They hate Judith so much they gave her probably the best combo potential in the game 😂 I still suck with her though. Aerial combat feels so wonky for me :/

@@twindragons4590 Best combo potential is Yuri, beside it impossible to do a long combo with Judith againt heavy enemies or bosses but Yuti have no problem with that, Judith is better dealing with mobs thanks to Moonbean and Luna Talon but that about it

@@markvermo7523 I think for the average player, you’re absolutely right! Yuri and to a certain extent Flynn have well rounded abilities that hit hard and combo together fairly nicely. I think Judith also has the potential. It’s extremely difficult to tap into though because the game expects you to go full aerial with her, as well as nailing the timing. It’s possible with bosses, but you have to know what order of base, arcane, and altered artes to use. I’m gonna try and see if I can find the combo video of a Judith killing barbos with one combo. It was absolutely wacky! Edit: Can’t find the video. Either it was deleted or the entire channel was :/
