We need to see your face rather than your back. Maybe get the stuff set up before you start recording. Good luck with the videos 👍👍

Hi. Will any 14T from shimano work 105 series work?
@CaribbeanCyclist23 күн бұрын
Hi, yes I think any Shimano 14t cog will be miles better than what comes with the turbo trainer.

I’m curious, would that shimano hub also fit in the Core of you wanted to switch it out?
@CaribbeanCyclistАй бұрын
I haven't tried it but I assume it would as it's the same spline configuration
@wesleygcoleman5 ай бұрын
Assuming this could also work in reverse? Planning on buying a Zwift ride setup this winter but want the flexibility long-term to not always use Zwift. Thanks!!
@Jillaroo794 ай бұрын
Yes, the cog has nothing to do with virtual shifting. It is just a 14T cog inside some plastic caps. I bought a Kickr Core with a cassette and the zwift click. If you pair the click you can use virtual shifting in zwift, but so far only in zwift. I use other software too, like Rouvy. Then I just shift normally with the derailleur. It's the best of both worlds.
@CaribbeanCyclistАй бұрын
That's correct Jill, without the click controller, the cog is just a cog and plastic. You can use the click with any normal cassette but unfortunately only in Zwift.

Thank you for the invaluable info! Is there any compatible freehub body other than that one you mentioned in the video?
@CaribbeanCyclist5 ай бұрын
It turns out there are no others, unless you go for the original hub which I can't find anywhere new or otherwise.
@dukekaboom41058 ай бұрын
Thanks, what tool did you use to remove the hub? Also Zwift/ Wahoo recommend that if you have two rings at the front you should use the smaller one. Thanks 🏴
@CaribbeanCyclist8 ай бұрын
I used a chainwhip and a standard Shimano cassette removal tool. Both should come in any basic bike maintenance kit. I got mine from eBay and it has all the essentials. I'll do a review on it at some point ☺️

@@CaribbeanCyclist thanks. I have a lock ring removal piece that wasn’t fitting, however with a few taps of a rubber mallet it went in no problem. I managed to get everything sorted. Thanks again.

Here's what to do if you already have a Wahoo Kickr Core and want virtual shifting with the Zwift Cog. I'll post the software setup in a future video.

I am thinking of getting p10 to do a 7 day tour, 100k each day with 2 days 10k ft climbing. Any suggestions on how to achieve that with any upgrades.
@CaribbeanCyclist8 ай бұрын
Sounds awesome! If you're going to do a lot of climbing you might need a wide range cassette. The original on mine was 11-40t 10 speed, but I changed mine to 11-32 as I don't plan to do that many hills on the folding bike.

Hi CC, whats adavantage of hollow BB compared to square BB
@CaribbeanCyclist8 ай бұрын
The hollow BB is definitely much lighter, just holding the two in each hand you can instantly tell the difference. Hollow BB is easier to change as less tools are needed.

I got mine from Facebook marketplace. They hardly ever come up for sale though, there was a really nice verge D9 on there the other day, if I hadn't bought this one I would have got it.

@CaribbeanCyclist is is black d9 verge in Nottingham....do u reckon it will take verge x11 transmission
@CaribbeanCyclist8 ай бұрын
As far as I know all components on the Tern Verge bikes are interchangeable, but once you match your shifters and rear derailleur you should be able to run any 11 speed combo.

The P10 is a great bike I have one. The only thing I would do overtime is upgrade some of the parts. To drop a few pounds of weight off the bike. But it's a very nice bike. Pretty fast. And it handles hills really well with that big 11--40. 10 speed cassette.
@CaribbeanCyclist9 ай бұрын
I've changed the cassette to an 11-32 as I won't be doing that much climbing. But we'll see if that was a mistake!🤣
@fender10001009 ай бұрын
Lol where I live it would be. I would recommend putting a litepro hollow tech crankset on it aswell. That will take off some weight. And make it smoother and more efficient..

Excellent, I've ordered one from China but I've used the same size chainring for now, we'll see if that needs to change after a few rides.
