House of Dead Games ranked by me: House of Dead (1996): The original that started it all, had real horror vive, I remember Chariot's sounds, bloody axe, him shedding his armor to reveal exposed flesh and moving nerves scaring me as a kid truly gave horror vibe, as did Hangedman the vampire bat like boss commanding bats , throwing two scientists to their deaths mercilessly, Hermit cause I don't like spiders and ofc Magician hardest boss in the game and he is way better here than in HOD 2, his final attack he shoots the fireballs upwards and you have to shoot them all down before firing at him, in HOD 2 he shoots them down and only middle ones might hit and you can easily kill him while he was doing it. Curien's mansion was really creepy and gold. Best horror game ever for me. House of Dead Overkill (2009): I played it on Typing of Dead Overkill on pc which has the option to play the Original Overkill with guns by just clicking, so many cool guns to choose from standard gun, shotgun, sub machine guns, minigun and more. And the bosses were hard, Crawler and Lobber were so hard they made my arms pain. G's first assignment and him and Washington made a genuinly funny pair and the zombies were really creepy and fun. Overall great game. Also Varla Gunn <3 and the extra levels this game was genuinely horror vibe with some comedy between Washington and G but still kept the great formula of horror games. House of Dead 3 (2002): It was great, I liked teh new combat mechanism and my most favorite thing was Fool boss, him feeding on the dead scientists, his jump scare slash attacks, he was fast and tough, being locked in the cage with him, him shaking the cage and making you shoot the dead bodies. The game was great and had true horror vibes. Wheel of Fate is the toughest final boss in the series but not the toughest if you play Overkill and face Lobber and Crawler. House of Dead Scarlet Dawn (2018): It was ok I only played it once. Great to see Chariot and Hangedman back but they made Chariot's attack pattern too similar to Death in HOD 3 and he felt more robotic than the zombie horror boss in HOD. Kate looks more beautiful than in HOD 4. Moon was great but the final attack to kill him with a rod was lame. Still it was fun overall and Hangedman's new form and attack was amazing. House of Dead 2 (1998): Well the levels felt too short and rushed. the comedic dialogues made this game more of a comedy game rather than a horror game, in chapter 1the first female hostage if you save her and she pints to the second and you fail to save him, James says in the coldest sarcastic way "there was nothing we can do", Emperor is the worst final boss in the series, his big red heart is so easy to shoot, and his final attack its just orbs sorrounding the red heart you can kill him easily he can't even land an attack just lame! House of Dead 4 and Special: I just didn't like it. The only thing I liked in both was Justice boss he was genuinly creepy. But the rest of the game was meh and boring. Temparance was a joke. Special Magican is tough but his dialogue was cringe and comedic and not sinister like OG HOD. HOD 4 is my least favorite game in the series, I liked Special slightly better than OG 4. And thats all. It was a great series.

Why do you play Trash Mode? In big game mode you can get money and buy bikes, you can get Bose's blue Diablo the fastest bike in the game for 40,000 $ even in level 1 if you keep beating one track say Pacific Highway many times you have enough cash for it.

Daniel Van Dusen 0 seconds ago Quick question for Road Rash fans, out of the Genesis and PS1 games which ones would you suggest playing and which ones would be either bad and/or redundant playing and therefore ok to skip? Like basically pretend you could wipe your memory of ever playing the games so you get to experience playing them all again for the first time. And right before you erase your memory, you make a list of which RR games you should play and in which order, preferably from worst to best. For example, you might skip the first game because the sequel/second game is so close to the original that it would be redundant to play it. Conversely, you might say that the first is so good and does something different that you still would like to play it and experience it all over again. I'm trying to make a RR playlist and figure out which ones I should play and which are ok to skip. And the ones I decide to play, I'd like to play them from worst to best.
