I know that these are DVD rips, but they look awesome (though not in 60 FPS like the DVDs probably were--different format to be able to upload them to KZbin I know from doing my own DVD conversions and such for home use). But did you do anything else to them because they look great.

I did mention that there's a couple of fairly low quality St. Petersburg races (both '07 and '08), but def. no PLM '07 aside from some accident videos taken from the event.

This race showed the difference between big money manufacturer Volkswagen using their Audi crew to run the Bentley program vs. the Audi privateers. In one lap, 3-5 seconds. Outstanding. Manufacturers with all their resources can be easy missiles as demonstrated here.

Lance Macklin was a wealthy amateur, not a serious racing driver. Like many others over the years, he was in over his head at Le Mans. Whereas, Mike Hawthorn was a steely professional. Macklin simply wasn't ready in the moment, and the rest is history.
@dfoxy146 ай бұрын
I don't know that it's that simple. Macklin did come from money, but he wasn't an "amateur" or privateer funding his own rides, and he'd had two class wins and a top-3 finish at Le Mans before this crash (driving for the Aston Martin team), so he wasn't in over his head either.

I was besides this bridge when it collapsed. The description made here is false. The bridge collapsed because of excess of weight (too many people on it) and nobody died, just a few light injuries, mostly scratches. There were no people trapped under the bridge and this was not a terrorist act, it was an accident caused by weight. The place was quickly cleaned and the race started 1/2 hour later. Stop the fake and sensational news reports!!

Friggin' idiot Hawthorn. From the previous lap he knew he had to pit. So what did he gain exactly by passing Macklin at the last second, pulling back in front of Macklin and braking hard for the pits with the superior braking Jag? Macklin had two choices. Take evasive action or rear-end Hawthorn. Lest we forget Hawthorn admitted blame initially and karma caught up with him a few years later.
