Very weird you bring up blackness. All Disney did is cast the role based on talent. The casting calls didn't specify they were looking for a black lead. Little Mermaid is one of those fairytales where the character can look like anything because in the original book her skin color is green. These Disney live actions are reimagined remakes after all. BUT if we're going to make it political and talk about skin color. The original author was an explorer. He got the idea of mermaids from African cosmology. He just took it and repackaged it for a white audience in order to preach about white mans Christianity. The original story it's about the mermaid earning a soul in order to enter heaven. White people high jacked mermaids from black folks tbh. Love that a white man director made it come full circle by casting Halle without even knowing. cause most folks don't even know these facts.

While I'm not a huge fan of remakes, but Cinderella and this Pinocchio remake did justice in my opinion, they tone down the Coachman (who unfortunately creeps me out in the original cartoon, prompting to distance myself from the cartoon) and Lampwick's transformation as well.

I watched it twice. I enjoyed it the first time, but I feel like I understood Jen's character better when I watched it under the influence of cannabis.. lol... I consider myself a medium strong feminist, but I'm not competitive enough to ever become a lawyer. I understood her better when I started seeing this adorable lady as someone who knows she's competent and a force to be reckonned with in her field of expertise. Also, as someone who's experienced workplace sexual harrassment, I enjoyed the parody. I think it rubbed many men the wrong way. The feminism was thinly veiled and came on a bit strong for certain people. Even though the situations portrayed are enhanced to fit in a comic book world, they still reflect situations which can happen in real life. I'm glad not everyone is automatically disliking the message. It wasn't subtle, but it still had something to say about what it feels like to be a woman. It was interesting to see Jen experience how she's treated differently based on her appearance (her normal self, vs her extra sexy self.) I have caught the eye of a supervisor before. It was extremely obvious to everyone he had a crush on me. You can't really do much about it when it happens, other than hoping it will pass. Accusations of preferential treatment and the resentment of co-workers suddenly happen. Just for being myself, mind you. It's not like I'm THAT attractive. I'm just average looking. These things just happen sometimes when you're a woman. It's not like I make it happen on purpose. So much workplace drama, but it's not like we can go back to a time where men and women didn't work together.

This was great they were gonna release it in theaters but they can’t because the Covid-19 but they released it on Netflix and now they released it on Blu-Ray and Digital.

I highly, highly suggest using clips from the trailers instead of stock photos. It'll help with user engagement.

Very inaccurate summary

personally all no I biggest thing is that the message from the original didn't mean anything because Pinocchio wasn't allowed to be bad or make mistakes or be tempted to go to please island. Glad you enjoyed it but wish theses remakes would just stop.

Hopefully Sony releases more Uncharted Movie deleted scenes, since most of them so far have been really good, e.g The Unreleased Deleted Nate + Chloe kiss scene from CHP 18 of the Movie Novelization + seen by a test audience. Please request Sony to release them or an extended cut
