I'm white but, I still loved it from 6 years old. I'm 44 and I'm still hiphop. I'm hiphop all the time. They don't like when I do what I do. Yes I've been arrested for not being what they want. Did my time, lied to get away from their system. Be your self!!!

As strange as it may seem I have listened to hip hop since I was 6 years old. By the time I was 12 I lived the culture beat box, break dance, and every new. Rapper. As it changes I watch. I'm white and I love hiphop. My parents, my grandparents freaked on me but, to this day I'm 44 and I'm still hiphop.

Back in the 90’s I came up with a definition I like to use which is ironically similar to KRS’s section on learning from liars, murderers, and “colonizers.” I call it “cultural transference.” In my words, it the transmission of cultural ideas between a dominant “In-group” and succeeding, and sub-ordinate, out-groups ( its inheritors ). The country/state of Israel has ghettoized and “en-camped” much of the Palestinian/Arab population (Christian and Muslim). But where did style of social domination of “others” come from? Easy. The answer is actually so close to in front of us that it is pathetic that it goes unseen - actually it is sad, rather than pathetic as the worldwide corporate/mass media does all they can to conceal it. The founders of the state of Israel learned ghettos, shtetls, and camps from their European experience. And now they subject an “other” to it as if it is their RIGHT to do that. Much of the Caribbean and south/Central America also found themselves locked in cultural transference after gaining sediment from their colonial/imperial masters, they chose to continue employing the tools left behind by THEM - as the colonials knew well as they made sure to leave behind corrupt systems as a social form of “scorched earth.” A health form of cultural transference could be looked at simply “adoption of particular ideas “ - primarily in language and religion/progressive cultural ideas and discourse. The development of Christian is a good example as it is pregnant with Greek and Persian ideas (who they themselves were inheritors of the ideas from the greater civilizations and cultures before them).

This is pseudo-philosophy by a pseudo-intellectual. To say "get rich or die trying" is the same as "give me liberty or give me death" is ridiculous on so many levels. this is like saying fighting for natural rights of a people is the same thing as fighting for fame and fortune. Anyone that conflate these 2 things has no grasp on reality or philosophy. He is just "getting his hustle on".

You either get rich or die trying. Or you are not trying to achieve success, and rich does not mean famous. I’m trying to get rich before I die are you? I want Liberty, or I will die trying to achieve my freedom. I want to be rich, or I want to die trying to achieve my goals of success. Your close mindedness is showing you can’t compare different concepts while knowing they are not literally exactly the same yet he’s the pseudo intellectual?

You need to go study at The Temple of Hip-Hop and read "The Gospel of Hip-Hop" to get your mind right! But in all seriousness, KRS is full of it.
