Awesome little video, I was looking at how to remove the door panel, very nicely done. The problem with your latch was the little black clip attached to the wire which activates the mechanical latch, the little one under the door handle. It was set to far.

Hey Maq I appreciate all the time and effort you put in your videos! I have a 1999 audi a3 1.6 L 8v and I am about to replace my 5sp with another transmission because my current one has a bad transmission and knock in the transaxle. You transmission video is very helpful. I always see you jacking up the car from under the engine and then placing it on stands. Where are you exactly jacking it up from with your floor jack? What type of engine do you have in your car. Thank you once again for your dedication to keeping these cars running.

If this a 2.5 liter engine, OEM plugs are the iridium autolight spark plugs. This engine is a ford engine. Not Japanese.
@MaqsVids6 күн бұрын
@@philipcbarrera1537 Hi! Are you sure? Ford never made Skyactiv engines. And unlike our old Mazda3 there are no Ford markings anywhere on the vehicle. The 2018 CX-5 engine seems to be Japanese made. I'm not sure why it matters for this video though 😉

Great video! I have a question if you could help me. Whenever I brake and them slowly take the foot from the brake (in traffic jam for example), car almost shuts off, can that be a spark plug problem? Thanks!

I’ve had this same exact problem since I replaced the belt/pump 2years ago and have been going absolutely crazy. Replaced just the belt last year (thought it was bad tensioner), noise came back a month later. Determined there’s a 90% chance it’s the water pump, but gave up until the next timing belt change (40k left) or until I get too embarrassed. Mine has quieted down some in recent weeks tho. Thanks for the vid, it gives me hope.
@MaqsVids15 күн бұрын
@@leonkloonsner Man! I feel you. When I was chasing down the squeak it was so painful because as soon as I ran it for a little while it would get quiet and I had to let the car sit for hours. I really just think some water pumps are problematic. Good luck!

Great video brother! Feels good to take care of big items like the water pump and motor mounts. Makes the car drive better and now you know it will last that much longer. Now you just gotta SAI delete that sucker and get a custom intake manifold and turbo it 😂

Hey Maq, i just wanted to give you a big thank you for these videos. I just put my tranny back in my beetle and it wasnt too bad. I have an engine support from the top and used one of those airbag jacks under rhe tranny and it worked great. Just got the starter back in so i figured that is a good stopping place so i can sleep (I'm a night shifter so all of this work is being done at night). Your videos gave me the confidence to do this myself. Even though im not done yet i am excited. I cant wait to be getting 50 mpg again.

Well I've driven 600 miles since the clutch install and everything is great! Shifts better than when it was new. The LUK clutch rep set is awesome. Pedal is much lighter and engagement is almost as smooth as an automatic. My grinding issues are gone and my mpg are back up to 50.
